Rogue one was such a good movie, because its one of the few movies that didn't make stormtroopers a joke, and actually made them pretty threatening and made the good guys concerned of their precense, and besides who doesn't love fan service?
yeah, the treatment of stormtroopers in this movie was great. unlike in the Mandalorian or the sequels, they actually feel threatening. It reminds me of the boarding of the tantive IV scenes in a new hope, and the hoth scenes in the empire strikes back
@@thegreenestofmachinesat least the mandalorian had the excuse of low morale. Everything was basically gone and they had to scramble for everything they could get their hands on.
@@NeptuniaMorgan yeah, but that doesn't excuse the mandolorian's stupidly overpowered armor, or how the stormtroopers managed to miss every character except him so that they could show the lasers bouncing off. It also doesn't explain why those beskar stormtroopers were all completely wiped out with only one or two losses to the mando group
Amazing what happens when you remove the plot armour and accept that main characters can die, all of a sudden the Imperials are actually competant and hit their target. It shows how lethal and determined death troopers are to obtain success.
As the Battle of Scarif evokes World War II's Pacific Theater, I like how the Shoretrooper armor colors evokes the tan/khaki colored uniforms by Japanese Imperial Army soldiers
It’s all based off of Vietnam gear that’s why, Their blasters are based on an m4, the heavy blaster on the ship is an m60, and there helmets are Vietnam us helms, but with wraps
Not technically Shoretroopers, but the same helmet design also featured two other times during the movie under a coat of white paint. The first time is as the drivers and gunners of the Imperial tank on Jedha, and the other time was in a brief shot from inside the cockpit of one of the AT-ATs.
This is not dumb at all. A security breach just happened and several explosions were seen. And this fella was untangling a cable from the ship that just came in a few minutes before those explosions.
Thats why he asked for an id.. because he was suspicious you cant go around shooting random imperial officers because you think they’re suspivious, better to just ask for an id to make sure you didnt just gun down someone on your team
Rogue 1 was brilliant. Would like to see more Star Wars entries similar to this. No Sith, no Jedi, no force. Just raw and aggressive. A series of really brutal skirmish outbreaks between rebel v imperial forces. Or even new / rebel republic v diehard imperial loyalists. Like very Saving Pvt Ryan.
I love how star wars movies show heavily trained stormtroopers and even better trained shoretroopers as stupid, incapable, and canon fodder in the hands of the mighty poorly trained rebel.
@Susowusjud4933 The Empire was based of the Nazis, Shoretroopers are a infantry unit of the Stormtrooper Corp. He was making a joking reference to The Empire's inspiration, chill out man
Wow shore troopers were worthless they didn’t change the tide of battle or do anything special all they did was die. Why bother putting them in the movie.

I thought it was likened to Marines
I really love the look of the gear the rebels wore on Scarif

Is one of mah fave looks for rebels for sure right next to kotas militia

The AT-ACT, yes. But if you look at the tank commander on Jedha, it's actually a very different design.
no they are are special troopers dedicated to vehicules
apple.
we should have gotten Shoretrooper Blasters instead of the E-11D im Battlefront 2
Agreed!!!
@@sirpepeofhousekek6741 Now the Battlefront 2 Gameplay Rework mod has that gun, in it's double-tap glory.
At least E-11D is the Deathtrooper blaster
E-22
When I was watching rogue one. I liked this dude 1:46
Sad that he died
That's the one lucky Shoretrooper right there. 1:39
Great work I love shoretroopers!!
*is the only non storm trooper and imperial officer on the beach doing suspicious activities*
"Identify yourself"
It's not that dumb though.
Well, he did have imperial patches. He probably wanted to make sure the guy was actually an Imperial engineer or technician, via ID credentials etc.

1:22 Shoretrooper gets shot...
1:42 There you go you f... Engineer who killed my TK partner
I love how shoretroopers can hit there target unlike the stormtroopers
Our scenes > all other scenes
I'm not saying I disagree but I just feel like you might be a *little bit* biased.
Your armor > all other imperial armor too
@@alice-dl6mfscout armour?

The rebels armour is so good
Rouge one, Star wars Andor thats my type of star wara

Rogue One just added so many great things to Star Wars. To date it's the only good Disney Star Wars movie, and the only canon one.
1:48 shoretrooper killed him friends
Nice Hot Toys display in the thumbnail.

Time to update
Do you mind if I use a scene for one of my edits?

Movies hate troopers
Anybody going to talk about the space Nazis having beige outfits with red on the upper arm?
😮
@kailoid8779 Nobody gonna to talk about it, shut up and go get a job.

Dont bother watching star wars if your mindset is like this
Shore troopers weren’t meant to turn the tide. They were just made to adapt tropical environments better.
@@ethen8596 yea
they were meant to look badass in the movie they starred in, if you want actual tide changing troopers you should watch the death trooper scenes
You act like shoretroopers are on the same levels of death troopers.
