Josh Allen gets the most preferential treatment. He has the highest per game average, among active quarterbacks, for Roughing the passer penalties over his career and led the league with getting the most last year.

Dean went from “no all the officials just want to get it right and we have statistics to back that up” To “I’ve seen some officials who would actually not call penalties if you complain about them”
More evidence that everyone has their own agenda here Officials are human They are subject to biases and tendencies just like anyone else would be
Squeaky wheel gets the grease is still a valid point because that’s human nature Refs are more likely to call fouls for a team the night after their head coach points out a huge disparity in free throw attempts Just the way it is
Overall I still contend that officials do a pretty decent job considering that in the last 25 years of me watching highlights I’ve never ever seen anyone show a “good call” It’s bad calls 10,000 and good calls 0 for highlights and talking points
So we just see bad calls constantly so it seems like they never get anything right And even when they do get it right The entire stadium boos them anyways and the players complain So it’s hard to get a fair opinion of referees

Officials are far from perfect, but in a league that embraces gambling, they can't be overruled by head office. Trust will be lost.

The first down to get a second chance or game was over definitely was the wrong call buddy( WR) knee hit the floor before the ball went over the first line
