Best 2 hours of video footage I’ve ever seen. It’s funny, entertaining, engaging and fun to watch. The amount of effort you put into your videos and the lack of subs or views you have is criminal imo.
ddlc in a nutshell - mc goes school and meets a probably depressed child - girl 1 asks to go to writing club and mc is giga chad and rejects and says amine is better - mc speedruns school in 2 seconds (boi what) - mc gets asked to go to writing club, says no and then girl 1 goes cupcak, yes - then meet girl 2 who is tiny girl 3 who looks like an alcoholic and is lanky af and girl 4 who is very sus - club stuff happen and girl 1 is in love with mc (cringe) and then u say yes/no and she dies (wow L) - now her face is amalgamted and she is error 1 - same thing happen again and girl 2 is like yk what i hate seeing and her eyes pop out and then she attempts to become an owl and dies - girl 2 become error 2 - girl 3 is cringe af and locks u in room and dies from knife that is magico. - error 3 - idk after
I'm not gonna lie, DDLC was one of the games I was least expecting to come up on this channel, but that just shows how life can be unpredictable sometimes. Anyways, great review man. Hoping for more stuff like this in the future. Cheers
Damn, this is amazing! Astronomically underrated! I watched this after the 2020 review, so I didn't think much of it. I thought the 7/10 by the community was reasonable until I watched the video. I was very wrong. The video hits differently from all the other videos. Although its incredible length, I've managed not to get dull from a single section. I feel disappointed because it's not "JtoH dAMagELesS pArT 5" it didn't get much attention. Although your Jtoh damageless videos are amazing, this deserves the 1# spot. Even with all this editing, this should get 10M views and could compete with other amazing videos. I do not understand how this didn't get 30/30 in the latest video (as of now), man ppl only watch Jtoh on your channel and that's it, I found the jokes funny, the story was fun and writing a 10,000-word essay just for a video blows my mind. Also, Kanemonger smh put Fleeting Feeling an F smh, it should get an A at minimum TL;DR, Your video was so entertaining and underrated, it should be your 1# video.
This is honestly criminally underrated As someone who doesn't play DDLC, this is a well detailed review, the video is GREAT aswell and the editing is great. Keep it up!

I feel this is definitely exemplified by the fact that they left the BSOD screen in Plus which in my opinion, does not work in console versions. (Oddly enough, they also left it intact for the Mac and Linux ports, which is just Lazyness IMO) I feel Dan should have instead used the error screens of each console to better preserve the effect. (Which the unnofficial fan ports did) By far, my biggest criticism of Plus, is that I feel that, not only does it remove the charm the original game had, but I feel it moves the focus of the game away from what I feel is the games main draw: the four characters (five if you wanna include MC) and their personalities. Another big con is that it explains Monika's epiphany. Notice how in that whole ordeal, there's not a single prompt telling the player to choose or do anything. This means all the actions and choices taken in that instance, were his and his alone. Also, I understand that Plus is different because it costs money, but DDLC's whole shtick originally was that it was a cutsey little VN dating simulator gone wrong, you cannot deny that, and I wholeheartedly feel that that is sadly lost in Plus. They turned it into a corporate experiment, which is just not DDLC in my opinion.
I’m kinda curious on why you think Monika is overrated since imo her being the face of the game and the primary antagonist probably warrants her of being in that “very prominent” tier or whatever you’d call it, even though I understand that you’re disappointed on DDLC+ a lot of the changes had to be made for the game to work on consoles and I don’t hold that against the game too much for it. I’m also curious about how you feel the game deviates it’s focus away from the four girls since the side stories kinda does the opposite to what you’re saying but I’m guessing you mean the whole virtual machine metaverse thing which in that case I can understand however, I kinda disagree with with the whole epiphany thing you were talking about. We already knew where it came from through the Hole in wall poem in the base game and the why factor knowing that she and her friends were just insignificant victims of the corporate workers of the metaverse employee’s imo adds to the overall themes and narratives of the story rather than it takes away from it. But I will agree people give MC a little bit too much flack, if you really think about it he had to suffer through seeing two suicides one in witch he was stuck with a rotting corpse for an entire weekend and all of the shenanigans that happened in act two and three, all of that plus he slowly gets his voice taken away not even being able to express whatever thought he is thinking in that situation as he is slowly disregarded for in turn on focusing directly at the player. This is probably the reason why MC is often hated within the community since he didn’t necessarily leave an amazing impression in act one and his character was deliberately shafted away within the continuing acts but that’s kinda the tragedy of MC. Anyway these were essentially my thoughts of your thoughts or at least my attempt presenting my thoughts.
