    “I will add that the man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than
    he who reads them; inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he
    whose mind is filled with falsehoods & errors. He who reads nothing will still learn
    the great facts, and the details are all false.” --thomas jefferson

      Reading the mainstream coverage one can see between the lines. Only if you've researched alternative journalists and grasp the way the establishment controls this stuff.

    “One must select wisely a source of news;
    otherwise it would be better to be uninformed than misinformed.”

      Ezra Taft Benson, former Head of the Mormon Church, or what I believe, is a dummy front for the NSA/DIA.

    “I really look with commiseration over the great body of my fellow citizens who,
    reading newspapers, live & die in the belief that they have known something of
    what has been passing in the world in their time.”

    “Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious
    by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only
    to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day.”

    Does April not know the kids at Kent & Jackson State were shot in May that year over their protest of ANY US action in Laos or Cambodia? For any reason?
    She missed this aspect when Len raised it - worrisome, given how bright she is.

      Both Peter Arnett and herself are part of that liberal machine that makes propaganda for the ruling class. What Disturbed me was both her and Peter Arnett saying that the use of nerve gas agents in this case understandable and well-controlled, IE I think they were more excited about their getting a scoop than on the killing of us detectors than the war crime. I've tried to find out more about what she's done since this time but the internet search engines have turned up nothing. My guess is she's now doing some sort of humdrum job supporting the status quo.

      So does that discredit her reporting on Tailwinds? The establishment would sure be happy about that. She was a CNN reporter not an ideologue. That makes her story on tailwind even more credible. She got the Gary Webb treatment.
