You should have picked archipelago if you intend to use sniper. It is easier to camp on a small island, since enemies only spawn next to the main island. The only downside to this is long ranged enemies like ranger, sniper and achilles are your main threat in that map. You should prioritise killing them first if you ever see them.

Actually there is a good spot in dune for recon
Not just archi
12:00 achilles shield will turned off if you shoot the drone ( the thing flying above achilles head)
Tip: DO NOT RECON ON DUNE, RECON IS BETTER IN ARCHIPELAGO I also suggest you put tps in batter spots to prevent them from being sapped
Dune is large and can be a good recon map, but archipelago is best
jetpacker scout gaming (i always be jetpacker because almost every game nobody gets an rpg and i have to clean their butt😭)
I had almost same game but when mastermind spawned i instaly killed him bc he didnt know that he will spawn on last wave
