    One thing i don't undersand (newbie here), why did you import the exported files to the esxi datastorage when a in the next step you chose them again from your local drive? Thanks

      It’s a lap environment. The exported file can be transferred to the destination for import.

    does this export just the virtual machne or exports the data on the machine as well?
