this would've been useful like a year or so ago LOL. I swear it felt like i was one of less than 10 people studying this module during my gap year. Very different topic indeed, but also rewarding. This was one of the first things I studied that felt like true high level maths.
Agreed! Groups feels like the start of university level maths, for sure - it was challenging trying to adapt the content so it was able to be understood by 17/18 year olds - sorry these videos weren't here last year for you!
Cost of living was a bit crazy in London, especially just on a teacher wage - plus, the north is great! There are parts of London I miss... but not the tube or how busy it is haha. I miss my school though! Are you an East Londoner then?
@@BicenMaths Born and raised East Londoner in Tower Hamlets. I am a fellow teacher in Maths. Currently work in Dubai because cost of living was so high in UK plus covid restrictions. My degree was in Actuarial Science so never really learned mechanics even at A level. I did S1 and S2. I have learned a lot from your explanations to teach mechanics to my A level students. You are an awesome teacher. I could hear the amazing relationships you had with your students and I'm sure they miss you tremendously. Keep doing what you are doing. We are indebted to you for your efforts in making maths accessible and fun, and I for 1, am grateful for coming across your channel. Thank you and all the best for your 13 exams this summer!

I miss Tower Hamlets! My students there were exceptional, and I'm pleased that you could tell from my videos how strong our bond was. They never got to take the exams because of Covid, they will go down in history as a class of legends for me! I hope you're enjoying being out in Dubai and still find the time to visit East London!
