+JKP CREW The poison is on the table in the last scene of this video, you are given it by the mark who thinks she is sending you on another job. The phone I took from the model guy that I took out when I was talking about all the costume changing.
You should come back to this one, I was disappointed at first but now I got into the elusive contracts, escalation contracts, and unlocking new planner items - it's actually brilliant. I played all hitman games right from the start, and while this one has performance issues on my pc anyway, this is possibly the best hitman game ever... because of: how disguises are used (work only to a certain extent), how NPCs interact and react to you (do something strange and they won't start shooting immediately), how maps are constructed (different layers of security), etc. For me it's only after completing the campaign, the real fun started!
This is what its come to. We used to be able to buy entire games. Then we could buy the game, and for a little extra money, buy a substantial expansion. Then DLC, which has both good and bad moments. But now companies are having us buy individual levels? Fuck right off.
It's 425 in the morning and my wife just walked in the door because she thought I was swearing at the baby. Thanks Mac for doing what I can't. Keep swearing
I don't know if you know "Jim Sterling" but 2 years ago, a square Enix employee actually told him to watch out for Square Enix games because they were trying to find ways to monetize their games.... This employee said they were going to use the episodic formula because it earns more money... He was right..
Is right, and they also don't let you use outfits you've found in levels as your starter outfit like Absolution. It was fun collecting all the rare outfits, SWAT, clown, security, etc.
I've been playing this and as a big Hitman fan I was skeptical after Absolution but I am pleasantly surprised and besides the crappy episodic release and online stuff this is a fantastic Hitman game. This reminds me a lot of Blood Money and Contracts. I'd recommend waiting for more missions before buying but the gameplay is very solid! I always would replay missions dozens of times in blood money doing them all differently or completing objectives that I made for myself (like killing all the guards or people silently in certain areas) so I'm loving the huge Paris map and the contracts mode. This may not be for everyone, but have been loving this. Just need more of it!
TheUnbeholden , Yeah I think I'll wait until all the other episodes are released before playing it again so I'll have a complete and awesome Hitman game to enjoy. So It's like I preordered it and got a early sneak peak at the first mission.
It's $60 for a full game. The gameplay is fantastic, it's a modern Blood Money. You can do easy mode where you follow waypoints, or you do it yourself with no tips. This first mission is beautiful, and there's no reason to think that the rest will be worse. There are a million ways to accomplish your task. The episodic thing does not make a difference to me. If it matters to you, wait until the full game is completed and out. I can deal with a full, great mission every couple months. The gameplay is exactly what Hitman should be. Oh and the whole "changing outfits every 10 seconds", you can complete every mission in your starting Hitman outfit...not easy but possible.
+TheShermanator92 A full game? no! It is a full game when it is finished not before. like blood money? no! blood money did not need to be online. follow waypoints? in a hitman game? dude that is like a puzzle game with a how-to-do-it. pointless really. yes the first part looks good, but it also has sell the rest of the game in this pice meal.
they were not clear enough on Episodic release. I read that gamers who pre buy get access to Beta so I jumped on it. it did not mention anything about eposidoc release.
+leif solmunde Correct me if I am wrong, but did theShermanator say that the new Hitman was identical in every way to Blood Money? No he didn't, so don't start whining because of the online requirement. I have not followed this hitman as much as previous ones because I don't currently have the time. But when It gets fully released I will, and I will more than likely buy it because you can choose the difficulty, just like on all previous hitman games. You want to do it with no instinct, no waypoints, silent assassin etc.? Fucking go for it. No one, not even the devs, are telling you to follow waypoints. Not everyone wants a ridiculously challenging game. The online requirement is a kick in the teeth for a single player game, but it's sadly the way the world is going, and one or two people boycotting the game purely because of that reason won't make a blind bit of difference. It happened with the last SimCity and look, publishers are still doing it. Either deal with it or find a new hobby because this whole social media integration with the new consoles and always online isn't gonna go away.
Phil Ofcoz devs are doing this. why? coz we are sheep. When simcity did the online thing they gat kicked in the teeth by cities: skylines and everyone saw what nonseens it was. Thing is they could just waited a year, make a whole game and then realese it for 60$.
please do a re-review on this as a complete package, as the whole game is out now. i passed on it when watching this review when it was originally posted, but just recently purchased the whole thing and its great! im still not a fan of the DRM aspect, but its an awesome sequel that lived up to Blood Money in my humble opinion.
i did the same got it on sale 35 bucks for the first season and before i knew it i had 96+ hours clocked into the game. rarely does that happen to me with a game not sense new vegas or oblivion have i spent as much time with a game. 96 hours and its only season one if they continue with multiple seasons it will have a staggering amount of levels and with the replayability it already has looks like ill be saying goodbye to my life.
Hey! Everything you say is correct, or reasonable, but... let me add my 2 cents: - the whole season 1 presents several missions and a parallel smaller campaign (patient zero), which are plain great, and now all accessible with the GOTY edition; - all of them, besides indeed the first two "tutorial" missions, are classy and deep, Sapienza and Hokkaido being my favourites; there are many interactions between NPCs that break the predictability of their cycles, with scenario inventivity, surprising characters and great dialogues; - you can, and actually should, aim at Silent Assassin (not spotted, no bodies found, etc) and even "suit only", perfectly possible; - you have "challenges", i.e. conditions for the kills, that show the range of possibilities; - from there on, you can imagine your own creative and fun killing methods and parcours; - you can have your own style, i.e. gun-blazing with a trail of corpses or stealthy with only "accidents"; - you have "elusive targets", i.e. unique, one-off, short-lived contracts; - you can create or play community-made contracts, based on the "life cycles" of some NPCs, and that generates a lot of interesting situations and opportunities; - I don't know the economical background of it all (IO and Enix break-up etc.) but the episodic nature of (the release of) the game might result from simple financial constraints (I like to give the DEVs the benefit of the doubt). (I'm just a player who paid for it all, and I may be naive... but while at the beginning I just missed Blood Money, I ended up quite hooked).
there were times when demo-versions were free - so you could play a game and see if it was good or not, now have fun paying for a demo-version. And tutorial + 1 level is INDEED a demo-version.
This is what I love about your videos and reviews Mack. No matter what the game is or whether its a thumb up or down, I always get at least one really good laugh out of the video. Usually a lot more than that. :D Probably about 75% of the time I watch your vids I don't even have the slightest interest in the game to begin with but watch just because it's so entertaining. Keep up the great work mate!
I love Hitman. So much. It's one of my favorite series of games. THIS... is a slap in the face. Don't put out an unfinished product. Just to get a quick buck. In pieces. Hitman deserves better than this. Absolution was fucking AMAZING. Best since Blood Money in my opinion.
I really don't see why you think Absolution was any good. It had a fake illusion of you being able to do whatever you want and at the same time constanly punishing you for not following it's linear path. A good on-rails action flick, but a terrible Hitman-game. Blood Money was way better!
Buddy Mckay Blood Money was my favorite of the series. I get why fans didn't care for Absolution, but I found it to still be a great experience. I got it on the cheap on Steam so I think I was a little more forgiving on it. I want this new one, I just don't want to buy it in episodes. So I am waiting for the full release. Just in case the rest of the game sucks.
+MikePitcher I see you point. Well, you can always buy the intro pack for 11 bucks and try it for yourself, then check out gameplay footage of the second episodes and buy the upgrade pack if it still looks promising. That's my tactic.
You dont have to be allways online but you miss out of ALLOT of the features if your not online, like the challanges etc. You can stil play the story main missions in offline mode. Also you can go back to the first turorial missions and they got diffrent challenges to.
"Fashion with a passion"- you should really create a chanel like that and review the latest trends, because let's be honest- we all love the way you rage (and most of us hate fashion just as much as you do) :)
The split of the game kinda feels like they looked at the budget like, "Oh shit we're going to run out of money in March so let's sell what we have and fund the rest of development." Either that or trying to hop on Tell Tale profit wagon
***** Thanks for sharing this info. That's what it seemed like. Well if that's the case the team did what they could and let's just hope it doesn't effect the quality of the game.
Your reviews are fantastic and I mean that sincerely. This game looked moderately fun, but it just seems so gutted. It's pretty disappointing to see some of the directions the gaming industry has taken. But seriously, your reviews are really some of the most helpful. I've definitely dodged a few bad games thanks to you. I've found myself sifting through other reviews still unclear on the true value of certain games, but yours usually clear things up pretty well. Comedic but also straightforward and real with your audience. Informative and entertaining, keep up the great work!
If the full game comes out eventually at normal price I'm not bothered about episodic games I just won't buy it from the off. I actually like the fact they have to put everything into one level to justify charging for it. Mac should review the whole game
My only complaints with the gameplay directions they went with are the mini-map and still use the Instinct system, I wish they kept the full screen map, it adds a bit of tension when you are peeping through keyholes and timing patrols. I hope there's a option to turn the mini-map off (sadly, I doub't you can restore the original map). Also I hope not many people buy this game early, this isn't a practice that I wish to catch on.
I believe you can play through the mission without having to change your outfit once. I missed Ed Tom Bell today. There were a few moments where he, and his newspaper, could have interjected quite nicely.
I heard that the developers ran out of budget for the game and they had to cut it up and deliver it in chunks in order for them to be able to release the game. It was not meant to be delivered like this from the start. That DRM sucks though! And I really don't get why they made the prologue missions "fake", why didn't they just make some smaller, easier starter-missions...
You can't deny this, this game is better than Absolution. The levels also all feel like Blood Money. Its disappointing that you have to buy the episodes though.
Just going to wait until the full version of every game gets released. I wait 6-10months following a game's release for it to get fixed and drop in price. Gonna have to vote with my wallet again, and great review Mac keep up the great work!
Last game I bought full price was GTA 5. I walked into my local game store, gave the lady her money and walked away with the 7 CD box. That was on PC release, so about a year ago. I'm still loving GTA 5, such an awesome game, the online mode keeps me invested so much right now. I wanted to buy so many other games after that, but it turned out they all sucked, and I turned out buying none of 'em. Either graphics got downgraded for the actual release, or you had to buy expensive DLC in addition to the full price game. I'm so sad that the suits are fucking up every major title which comes out, it's promotion before good game developement, the ad budget is bigger than the budget for the game itself. I understand every industry gotta make it's bread'n'butter, but the people making the decisions are such bad people, they've got no moral, they feel no responsibility towards their audience, they don't realise that, with a good, consistent series of games, dedicated work and moral they can draw as more as a crowd in than with their yearly propaganda, because, yes, people catch up to this shit. The reality is, the times where videogames where made by enthousiasts for enthousiasts, like the team at Valve with Half-Life, Team Fortress 2 and EA Canada with the early Need for Speed titles (Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, High Stakes, Porsche etc. from 1995 to 2001), these times are over. It all became corporate now, and the people in charge are so detached from the crowd they cater towards, so detached from the reality, they're lost in the stock market, numbers and statistics, they don't see a game, all they see is maths. How can such a synergy work in the first place ? Putting these people in charge can't work, how did that even happen ? Well I guess this goes with everything that gets popular. Some poeple see the money to be made with games, and after a while, all there is left to see is the money. Video games like the one you reviewed in this video have become a shell, a puppet which is manipulated for marketing purposes, nothing more than a money making exercise. There are many other examples, some more cathartic, and some more relevant but like all these other franchises, this one too has become a witness of corporate greed. The worst thing about this is that very dedicated people still work in the gaming industry, but their visions are seen as too risky, not profitable enough or unrealistic. The wrong people with the wrong conscerns are in charge, instead of encouraging creativity and entrenpreneurial spirit, capitalism has become a barrier for ingenuity and risk, and as a consequence, a barrier for any emancipated product or object of art.
+Alex Spadge How do you deal with the loading screens and waiting in lobbies? I actually really enjoyed single player, but then I played about 10-15 hours online with a couple friends.... and I couldn't handle it. Each loading screen seems to take at minimum 20 seconds to load, and I have a fast computer, especially back when the game was released on PC. I think the lobbies are what really killed it. You have to stop everything and sit in a lobby for 10+++++ minutes waiting for pricks to join so you can do whatever it is that you're doing. Needless to say, the MP turned me off so much from the game that I can't even play SP anymore.
I never really notice them. For me it boots up really quick, and once you're in, you're in. The game is just so diverse and the zero to hero aspect is very compelling. Also the developer adds free DLC almost every month, new cars, lately they added Yachts for us to buy with in game currency, no real money required, a lot of clothing and new weapons. One issue I have with the game though is the Peer2Peer system. It's great if you wanna host for you and hand full of friends, but it's atrocious in public lobbies, if you're unlucky it's just a lag fest. Lag completely ruins the multiplayer experience if it occurs. But that's really the only issue I have with this game. I can't get enough of single-player. On PC you can mod all you like, and the world really is sandbox. Professional teams develop mods like LSPD:FR which is a police RP mod, and completely transforms the game. Private servers are in development, so online RP like in Arma or G-mod is for soon. I really feel I can do whatever I want, that's why I like it so much. The game is what you make it. Mostly because the playerbase of this game can vary from nice people to cancerous scum, so keep your friends close, find a good clan, for lone wolves it can become unbearable.
Adam Etherton Yeah it's ridiculous. There shouldn't even be NPC clones in this game. It's ONE freaking level of a fashion show. We all know how women hate to dress similar to one another and they put 3 EXACT clones right in front of us... GTA V is open world and I struggle to find clones...
Yeah I have to say the always online stuff bothers me. But what bothers me more is the episodic stuff. I think if it wasn't always online and we got more in each episode, it would be worth it to me at least. I have got this first episode, and I personally find Hitman fun already, its always been a game that I have enjoyed. Its a serious shame they made these shitty business choices. As I said I don't necessarily dislike episodic, Tell tale does it. But then, they do it well, Square Enix has done it crap with Hitman. Its a bloody shame, because its led to people disliking the game mostly because of this, and if it was not for that maybe Hitman could of been given proper light to shine as a good game. So often solid games are damaged by company bollox, which alienates players, and creates situations like this :(
I like that the latest Hitman ditches the linear play style of Absolution (or at least it looks that way), but it also looks like its just back to where Blood Money left off as far as game mechanics go. What makes this one so different?
Just played the first episode. Excellent game BUT SHORT SHORT SHORT!!! Paris finished in 45 min. All thats left is redoing the same level over and over and over in different outfits. Good Level design, good ambiance, awfully short short short. Feels more like a Demo then a full game.
Its suprising how good the game became they added bunch of weapons bonus maps outfits a New mode that is really hard. And They still working on the game so its worth the 60 bucks in my opinion
Just to be fair, you can play only in a suite only it's much much harder, well, at least on other hitman games. Saying that, would you consider to do a re-review now that more episodes have released? From what I understand some missions are better than Paris. Though the full lot of them costs 60 USD which is admittedly not cheap :/
I was hoping that the developers would have listened to the community feedback after releasing Absolution because everyone wanted the elements that made Blood Money so good. Thankfully this game is not as linear as Absolution, but it does lack a lot of the pros that were present in Blood Money. Good review, Mack.
for hitman too be the greatest game of 2016, needs to have multiplayer where we can create are own hitman assassins. completely customize. buy cars, houses, anything to make money for better weapons and suits. something like that. also contracts set out with multiplayer like the contracts that don't last a while like a first come first serve or a elusive target if you miss him that day he's gone like in story mode. plus co op . and if they could implement a hitman house where he's got his weapons case tv to watch news about targets he was too mutilate. a black berry where the missions are texted with detail then it goes into his game planning. a station too clean and rebuild guns. not the boring ass home screen they have for campaign. I'd love to be immersed all the way through not just half .
I do think developers experimenting with pricing is good I mean the Walking dead worked well for it but I agree Hitman doesn't seem like a good choice for it.
Pre-Season Pass: murders your dog Season Pass: murders your dog and shits on your bed Full Season Pass: murders your dog and one random family member Mega-extra Season Pass: slaughters whole family and expects you to thank for its benevolence
I don't think releasing it in bits is too bad an idea, the nightmare that was absolution is fresh in our minds hitman fans need something to wash that away, plus if you play hitman you know it's about replay.
Why is everyone obsessing over the segmentation part? The problem, is the egregious-as-fuck online-only DRM, on top of Denvuvo that was more than capable of protecting their game in the first place. Denuvo doesn't ruin the experience of paying customers, while online-only DRM almost always does so. The segmented structure has a small potential for risk, and does mean the game can't as easily focus on a linear story-heavy campaign, as well as the increased risk of microtransactions (they claimed it won't have any, but who knows). BUT, it can totally work, and I would not judge it in any official capacity until it's finished. You shouldn't pre-order games, and that's exactly what you are doing if you buy this right now. It's not done, and it wouldn't have been by this point anyway regardless of the structure they chose. The early access nature of this may actually end up being a massive positive, as if fans aren't stupid and they speak up about the online-only DRM, they might be able to get it revoked by the time the whole package releases in early 2017.
This looks loads better than Absolution. Ive played all the hitman games, but only finished blood money (multiple times). This game looks very much like blood money, which would be ok, if it released a few months/a year after blood money. But we are 10 years in the future from when Blood money released...
+user27bstroke6 I do still like blood money. My point is that there is good chance that I would like this one as well, but I am disappointed that the game hasnt evolved much. The AI is the main reason I say this, they appear to still be very much like the AI from blood money, scripted and not dynamic in their interaction with the player. So if I were to stand staring at someone for 5 minutes, they dont even flintch, like its normal.. let alone if you were to follow them around (this goes for the main target, and the general surrounding AI).
+user27bstroke6 Well I have not played this particular Hitman game, but I have seen some responsive AI. GTA V has some responsive AI... A little too responsive at times, which is at the other end of the spectrum, but indepth for "modern day" standards. AI is a complicated thing, but I think it should be responsive to your character, which is hard to capture the possible subtleties in 3rd person (Eye movement, body language) without having erratic AI... What I am getting at is that the plank like (Ridgid) AI is old hat, and needs some sprucing up
loved the review but why did you add the "i'd love to do it in the suit and not change outfits all the time" mack you can do that thats the freedom you get but it wil be a challenge it even has a acvievement
+HamburgerGaming Yeah I was not very specific to what I mean, I was meaning that I would like some missions where you can not change clothes, I don't have the will power to not slip into a nice maids uniform when the opportunity arises ;)
I was just about to go to bed, been up 29 hours now. Thank you very much Mack for making me stay up for another 14 minutes lol. Not really, your videos are worth the extra time :)
Loved you getting all "Jarvis Cocker" on the catwalk! Of course he never ran up there and shot MJ, though perhaps he considered beating him to a pulp? Boom Boom! {Basil Brush lives on!}
To all the people who think that the business model is an integral part of a how good a game is: you are wrong. The works of Charles Dickens were released episodically in magazines at the time, the works are no worse for it. The game is extremely good (so far) and to place emphasis on the business model rather than the mechanics, level design, performance etc. does disservice to the game. It might not be sold in a way you like, but it's still hot shit.
Hey I'd love to hear what you think about Sapienza and Marakesh-- you predicted that Paris would be the best mission and everything else would drop off after that. If you haven't played the newer missions, you may be surprised... Or maybe not, I'd be interested to hear your opinion though.
I know that you say you don't like it but seeing you play makes me think otherwise, basically almost everything thats good about it is basically the stuff its gotten out of Blood Money & the only bad thing is what it got from Absolution (cover system) but it got contracts (and smoother movement) from Absolution though so its got even more replay-ability. Having all these tools given to you and being able complete the mission in any way you want, while discovering all kinds of new ways of doing the hit, stage accidents, different entry points, hide weapons, choosing your weapons & side objectives. Basically what I think you should do is just wait until all episodes are released and then buy them all together. It would definitely be a thumbs up if you did that. Tell Tale release it as episodes that has a satisfying conclusion with hints of whats next, the difference here is you don't really get that sense of a true "episodic" nature game but you get replaybility here & the gameplay is miles ahead of Tell Tale games. Thats why I'm definitely recommending this once its all done.
An alternative way to look at the episodic release: In the full release Hitman games, most people probably play each mission once or twice then go on to the next mission and complete the game in a few hours. With the episodic releases, there is no rush to get to the next part of the story. It's all about perfecting the mission you are on and finding alternative ways to complete the missions with the wide variety of tools at your disposal. I think the episodic release actually adds to the playtime of this game, and it's the same price as a normal game.
The goof-around aspects were the better part of the old hitman games as well. Pity they've chosen the always-online route, which is pretty much a deal breaker.
Capital demands are high, they can't stomach high development cycles, I don't even care about Hitman that much, but this is basic economics. If they can smooth out their cashflow by releasing parts of the game and making money at the same time it's ideal.
With this game being sliced to make more money, it makes me wonder ,if one day devs will think "you know what I think? I think we should make a multiplayer game with one map and one gun for $60 and release one map and gun every month until the end of the year and charge them for $15 each." It worries me what gaming direction gaming is going.
As per usual for these type of "episode" games - it doesn't exist for me until they've released the whole package. Roll on early 2017 when the hype has disappeared so I can pick it up at a fraction of the cost.
Sounds like you might like the "Mercenary" games made by Pandemic. They involve going around a large city/environment tracking down targets and killing or capturing them all and working your way up the chain using whatever you want.
Just a quick update, each episode is $9.99 not £9.99 my bad
+Worth A Buy I kind of figured Mack. Still not worth the money. I have the other Hitman games and this is crap!
+Worth A Buy Still too much.
That's some bullshit.
+Worth A Buy plls tell me how did you get the poison. i played 20 hours and i still not get the poison. and how did you get the phone
+Vulcan Joe 1$ for each bullet. Get your wallet out son, there's a gunfight coming.
+Vulcan Joe :D

+Daniel Russell Yeah I'm against the episodic nature but I'm really likeing this one over Absolution.

please do a re-review on this as a complete package, as the whole game is out now. i passed on it when watching this review when it was originally posted, but just recently purchased the whole thing and its great! im still not a fan of the DRM aspect, but its an awesome sequel that lived up to Blood Money in my humble opinion.
i did the same got it on sale 35 bucks for the first season and before i knew it i had 96+ hours clocked into the game. rarely does that happen to me with a game not sense new vegas or oblivion have i spent as much time with a game. 96 hours and its only season one if they continue with multiple seasons it will have a staggering amount of levels and with the replayability it already has looks like ill be saying goodbye to my life.
Those catwalk models were amazingly bullet resistant considering the amount of meat on em.
You dont have to change outfits all the time. I have used only the suit to kil both the targest many times, but it is more challenging and fun!
You know who else used to change their oufit all the time? Mr Benn.
Cam you WAB the entire game now that they are all released?
you and that bell have me laughing my ass off as always , great vid as always
"Except for Mack, stay away from him." First smile....heading for that laugh :)
Hey! Everything you say is correct, or reasonable, but... let me add my 2 cents:
- the whole season 1 presents several missions and a parallel smaller campaign (patient zero), which are plain great, and now all accessible with the GOTY edition;
- all of them, besides indeed the first two "tutorial" missions, are classy and deep, Sapienza and Hokkaido being my favourites; there are many interactions between NPCs that break the predictability of their cycles, with scenario inventivity, surprising characters and great dialogues;
- you can, and actually should, aim at Silent Assassin (not spotted, no bodies found, etc) and even "suit only", perfectly possible;
- you have "challenges", i.e. conditions for the kills, that show the range of possibilities;
- from there on, you can imagine your own creative and fun killing methods and parcours;
- you can have your own style, i.e. gun-blazing with a trail of corpses or stealthy with only "accidents";
- you have "elusive targets", i.e. unique, one-off, short-lived contracts;
- you can create or play community-made contracts, based on the "life cycles" of some NPCs, and that generates a lot of interesting situations and opportunities;
- I don't know the economical background of it all (IO and Enix break-up etc.) but the episodic nature of (the release of) the game might result from simple financial constraints (I like to give the DEVs the benefit of the doubt).
(I'm just a player who paid for it all, and I may be naive... but while at the beginning I just missed Blood Money, I ended up quite hooked).
there were times when demo-versions were free - so you could play a game and see if it was good or not, now have fun paying for a demo-version. And tutorial + 1 level is INDEED a demo-version.
remember when dlc was added well into a game's life span just to keep people interested? now it's there on release day.
+Mark Kimask Really a good comment. I totally agree on that. I can even remember some good ones like C&C Red Alert for example.
Damn.. i feel so old now!
This is what I love about your videos and reviews Mack. No matter what the game is or whether its a thumb up or down, I always get at least one really good laugh out of the video. Usually a lot more than that. :D
Probably about 75% of the time I watch your vids I don't even have the slightest interest in the game to begin with but watch just because it's so entertaining.
Still remember the original Hitman, damn it was epic.
You dont have to be allways online but you miss out of ALLOT of the features if your not online, like the challanges etc. You can stil play the story main missions in offline mode. Also you can go back to the first turorial missions and they got diffrent challenges to.
You can play offline, but your stats aren't uploaded to the global leaderboards. Also, you can replay the intro missions. Thorough review as ever...
You owe people a bacon sandwich, friend.
The best mission is in Sapienza, not Paris. ;)
"Fashion with a passion"- you should really create a chanel like that and review the latest trends, because let's be honest- we all love the way you rage (and most of us hate fashion just as much as you do) :)
what do you think about the full game now that's been released?
The split of the game kinda feels like they looked at the budget like, "Oh shit we're going to run out of money in March so let's sell what we have and fund the rest of development."
Either that or trying to hop on Tell Tale profit wagon
9:03 was where I subscribed. I had tears from laughing.
You are my favorite UA-camr Mack! You make the funniest and most informative game videos
"a Tart and a prick" LOL'd hard 😂
is it just me or is the new Hitman's walk animation clunky and stiff as fuck. Who the hell walks like that.
+Pat Bateman somebody who cannot get repeating digits
+Pat Bateman I do
You genuinely make the best reviews on UA-cam!
Ok then, in my opinion he makes the best reviews.
You hit the nail on the head regarding the people who 'design' games nowadays. Great review yet again!
Just going to wait until the full version of every game gets released.
I wait 6-10months following a game's release for it to get fixed and drop in price.
Gonna have to vote with my wallet again, and great review Mac keep up the great work!
8:13 There are 3 girls in this one scene, standing near each other, that are all the same model.
Mostly because the playerbase of this game can vary from nice people to cancerous scum, so keep your friends close, find a good clan, for lone wolves it can become unbearable.
they had enough time just to make and release the full game, its just sad actually
+armedessential Indeed
I've seen like 6 games he's reviewed that I personally think are good and he just seems to hate them...like all of them
8:16, there are 3 clone NPC women wearing a floppy hat in a green dress. AAA NPC crowds 2016.
It can't be unseen haha. But seriously, what an immersion breaker. Lazy game design. Surely they could of changed the character model slightly.
"Who walk, like they're chewing a toffee between their ass cheeks..." Perfect. xD
Mack what could you get from old Meg for the overall price (you never said, usually you do)
9:17. Another Paris attack already .... O_O
11:05 the makeup container clips thru 47's face AND he has no brush in his hand. in a damn pre-rendered cutscene.
Never stop Mac, absolute gold this one :D
I always look forward to the next Worth A Buy video released at exactly 9:38PM next Thursday on an afternoon.
I do think developers experimenting with pricing is good I mean the Walking dead worked well for it but I agree Hitman doesn't seem like a good choice for it.
+worth a buy You can totally do the whole mission, unseen, in nothing but your suit, no costume change needed, just skill
"How could you shag someone that could fucken snap"😂😂😂
Pre-Season Pass: murders your dog
Season Pass: murders your dog and shits on your bed
Full Season Pass: murders your dog and one random family member
Mega-extra Season Pass: slaughters whole family and expects you to thank for its benevolence
Mac I bought the full game and I thought it was ok you just need to complete every challenge of a map to unlock new guns or lethal cyinide so yea !
What I am getting at is that the plank like (Ridgid) AI is old hat, and needs some sprucing up
Will you be doing another review or an update, once the full games out?
I can't be arsed with episodic content, but I'm still interested in the game.
so happy i found this channel thanks mack for making these honest reviews
Hey Mack, any chance for an updated worth a buy now that the entire game has been released in GOTY form?
loved the review but why did you add the "i'd love to do it in the suit and not change outfits all the time" mack you can do that thats the freedom you get but it wil be a challenge it even has a acvievement
+HamburgerGaming Yeah I was not very specific to what I mean, I was meaning that I would like some missions where you can not change clothes, I don't have the will power to not slip into a nice maids uniform when the opportunity arises ;)
+Worth A Buy You'd do that for us, right Mack?.... Mack?
Lmao Mack, TB and gradeA are the only ones keeping youtube relevant
Open world FPS assassination gameplay. That actually sounds pretty badass, Mack!
I was just about to go to bed, been up 29 hours now. Thank you very much Mack for making me stay up for another 14 minutes lol. Not really, your videos are worth the extra time :)
+The Purgatorians There's always time for a Worth a Buy.
Are you going to do a division review? I really wanna know your opinion on the game...
Loved you getting all "Jarvis Cocker" on the catwalk! Of course he never ran up there and shot MJ, though perhaps he considered beating him to a pulp? Boom Boom! {Basil Brush lives on!}
To all the people who think that the business model is an integral part of a how good a game is: you are wrong.
Way off the mark on this one. Hitman was fantastic. Game of the year 2016. Such a rewarding and immersive experience.
Capital demands are high, they can't stomach high development cycles, I don't even care about Hitman that much, but this is basic economics. If they can smooth out their cashflow by releasing parts of the game and making money at the same time it's ideal.
Love your reviews Mack, please never change! Awesome, truthful and hilarious reviews! Saved me lots of money over your reviews!
With this game being sliced to make more money, it makes me wonder ,if one day devs will think "you know what I think? I think we should make a multiplayer game with one map and one gun for $60 and release one map and gun every month until the end of the year and charge them for $15 each." It worries me what gaming direction gaming is going.
Thanks for the honest reviews Mac, you can't be too harsh with some of the current gaming development / marketing trends!
3:00 Not sure if this is a deliberate groin shot or attempted head shot?
Dude for the first few minutes I was saying everything in my head before you said it.
Mack's video went full shooting rampage instructional video on the catwalk
I like the idea of an open-world Hitman game!
You can complete the mission in your suit without changing outfits. Its hard as shit tho.
Totally agree with all You said here, Mack.
As per usual for these type of "episode" games - it doesn't exist for me until they've released the whole package. Roll on early 2017 when the hype has disappeared so I can pick it up at a fraction of the cost.
I totally agree with your statement about the gaming industrie. I am looking at it since 1996, it gets worse and worse.
Sounds like you might like the "Mercenary" games made by Pandemic. They involve going around a large city/environment tracking down targets and killing or capturing them all and working your way up the chain using whatever you want.
You had me at "Croissant Shaggers"...😂😂😂😂
great review once again. seen so many repeat models in this 8:00 3 girls in same dress and hat standing practically next to each other
Id rather wait for it to be complete and then buy all episodes for about 9.99 for everything!
+MrYodi2007 yea they better not release the full game for £40... if so fuck it im not going buy it
