We gave the game up in first half. Van Dyke’s injury in first series, not taking field goal but going for it and not getting it, Mellusi’s fumble, missed field goal, just gave too much up, then it’s hard to keep playing with the same amount of fight in you when you know the inevitable is gonna steamroll you.
I thought Wisconsin played hard. Yalls o line and backs are really good. Alabama is super explosive and can break a game open really quickly. Milroe has that voodoo for making big plays. Best of luck to you guys the rest of the way.
I like Locke, but he’s undersized. If he could scramble like Russell Wilson it might work, but he can’t. It’s not good to have a semi air raid offense without a stud qb that can strong arm the throws accurately and escape pressure. We don’t have that. Younger guys not developed enough yet or not capable of filling that job description.
Solution for getting better. Players is simple.... You need to have more money to pay them. If former players donate thousands and thousands of dollars, and I understand some probably already do, then they can pay the best players money can buy. Buyer beware though, you could end up like Jimbo, norvell, Napier, etc. And then the players own the coaches. However, you will have better talent.
Unfortunately the coaches teach “tuning out the noise” when they oughta be listening to podcasts like this! Great ideas presented to help the team but Fickell and staff not listening.
I mostly agree. I think if TVD played the whole game, we lose 28-17. Locke is great guy and I'm sure he mentally knows the offense, but just lacks the physical tools and split second judgement to execute it. At this point, I really want them to let Locke play the next two games while they prep Mettauer and then let him take over for the rest of the season. This way he'll have a lot of experience for next season. Nobody wants to "screw over" Locke, but he's got to admit he just isn't the dude.

My UW degree was in biochemistry, I looked at Nebraska for graduate school and no, their academics are not in our league.

@@mark8337 I'm from Iowa, so I went to the U of Iowa. It's ok though, the professor I worked with got his Ph.D. from UW.
I didn't even bother looking at Nebraska for grad school. Ended up at UCLA and very happy about it
@@bleavinbadgers UCLA is a great choice. Nice campus, excellent school. Sandwiched in between the most expensive real estate in the country.

Bottom line 2-4-5 doesn’t work. And, running the ball all the time? Where is the air part of the air raid offense?
