I saw another vlogger who covered her silicone products with baking soda and left it on for a day before washing them. It supposedly removes the grease and smell. I've recently switched from using plastic bottles to metal/glass ones because of that same issue. Saw the Stojo and found it cool how it's collapsible but after you said something about that coffee smell being left behind on one of your cups that you had to get another one, am not so sure anymore. Thanks for this video though!
I am debating whether to purchase or not bcos it's so expensive in my country. but also I always feel guilty to have a plastic cup drink on the go. maybe eventually I'd buy this stojo cup ☺️
Such a valuable video, thanks so much! Exactly what I was looking for as I, like you, like to invest in items that really last and fill an important niche in my life, so I wanted to be sure it was really useful before buying. Bout to get the sage one now! 💚
Hello, I’m on a fluid restriction diet where I can only consume a certain amount of fluid per day. Does this cup come with fluid measurements or an easy method to determine fluid amount by creases/folds in cup?
Stella, hi! Do you use other Stojo product like a bottle for water? I’m searching comfortable reusable bottle and maybe you can share your thoughts about it. Btw I’m absolutely in love with your reviews!
Hi Anna, sorry for super late reply o_O I didn't try yet, since I prefer my bottle to be insulated (hence no collapsability). But I would be curious to try it one day. My friend bought collapsible bottle from noname brand and she says she loves it.
@@isitsustainable Don’t worry and thank you so much for your answer! I’m using some metal bottle for years now, but not always it’s so practical thats why I’m start thinking about other tipe.
Speaking as a baby-boomer, this is Not a new or even a novel idea. My folks had a couple of collapsible cups made of aluminum manufactured in Chicago, IL and trademarked 1940 (before the call for the war effort erupted). These cups lasted us 4-decades---before they were lost during a moving/relocation episode.
I don't think so, if the the middle plastic part sits tight, it holds the cup from folding down. You just have to make sure the plastic piece is tight in it's place.

I love my stojo cup. Have been using it for over a year.
Best review. Exactly what I was looking for. Thorough and honest. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Yeah, i have one. It is still quite big when collapsed, leaks through the lid thread and smells. I'm looking for alternatives but there's not many.

Look for cheaper alternatives! Stojo is good (i still use it) but it's not worth it if it's too expensive 💜
very nice review! I love your talking points. I'd watch other reviews from you!
omg yes all I am looking for is boba approved
Stella, thank you so much for this full and honest review. I use this cup size 16oz in a while, and I understood I need another one but smaller.
Great review! I really appreciate you explaining what your review consists of at the start and putting time stamps. I've just subscribed!
Wow - great review.. very thorough. Thanks so much - you answered all my questions. :)
You are welcome!
These are great for camping/backpacking also.
True! Thanks for pointing this out. I take mine all the time!
Heey, nice channel! I have the same cup and it's most convenient thing for zero waster

Terrific review!!!!🌟
Looks like an excellent travel cup!
Really enjoyed the deep-diving, thorough, and thoughtful review! I appreciated your philosophy of reviewing products you've used for a while!
When the drink is hot, will the cup become soft and not hold its shape?

Omg! I literally got tea in my stojo and the way it tasted like old coffee was not it 😅
Thank you! Your review is really informative
yeees, about smell it is true
Спасибо за обзор, заказала 2 штуки в Австралию)
Надеюсь понравится!

Hi, Thanks for review :). Can you use the straw from biggie cup on regular size cup ?
Hi! Sorry for late reply, but yes, it seems they have the same diameter.
In some places you can actually buy the straw separately. Where I live it goes for about 5$.
Is it normal that it has a plastic smell after putting hot water in it?
I didn't notice that with mine 🙄
@@isitsustainable Don't get annoyed. I'm using another brand

i also had plastic collapsible cups in my childhood, but we used it only for water, not for coffee, plus ours were super flimsy ;-)
does matter that it isn't a new nor novel idea. the stojo is still revolutionary
о да, я знаю этот акцент 😃
Would it be possible for the cup or bottle to fold it self with liquid in if accidentally pressed to hard?
I don't think so, if the the middle plastic part sits tight, it holds the cup from folding down. You just have to make sure the plastic piece is tight in it's place.
Do you still use the same cup?
yes, almost every day; but for colder days i use hydroflask tumbler if i want to keep my coffee hot warmer, stojo gets cold quick
