I think receiving core actually looks better going into this year. I like Fleming over KLS, especially from a leadership standpoint. I think he’s bringing some culture over from the OSU receiver room that are benefiting the PSU receivers. One example is use of the jugs machine. With that said, I totally understand the pessimistic sentiment tho.
@ericholmes7143 Fleming has been a great addition and leader but as of now it's Trey #1 and Liam #2, and Liam is no slouch. Evans, Saunders, and Fleming all in the mix for #3 to start the year except Saunders is dinged up. Denmark popping too but young. Chadwick saying our WRs got worse talent wise is an advanced level of knowing nothing about the team you're talking about. But at least switching to unproven later in the vid is more reasonable.

13 points? 17 points? It is painfully obvious you know NOTHING about WVU. That's a homer prediction. I'm not not going to predict us winning, but I will say this. Our RB stable is top 5 in the country. 2 All-Americans on the OL. WR's all over the field AND...you won't contain Garrett Green. He rushes for 100 yards by himself. Penn State 35 WVU 31
If this were a night game in Morgantown, I would give it to WVU. It makes that much of a difference under the lights there. A noon game goes to Penn St.
As a die hard Nittany Lions 🦁 fan, I can't give you a thumbs 👍 up, but I love that you don't have a problem if we win every single game, except for in Morgantown, so I will give you a half thumb!!! Lol, have a good buddy!!! WE ARE
@billnyedoesminecraftjoseph8379 Not me, as a die hard Nittany Lions fan, they ran their mouths for weeks, and the refs sucked ass and try to help them, and still my Nittany Lions 🦁 looked fantastic!!!! WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled
WVU fans have been saying this for months only to be laughed at hysterically by 85% of PSU fans who think PSU will "Crush WVU by 24+ and wont break a sweat"... The spread initially opened at 12.5, then dropped to 10.5, and now its at 8.5, so obviously the sentiments are not aligned with those who think this will be a cakewalk for PSU. Regarding the WVU pass rush: WVU brought in a new defensive coach exactly for this reason in Victor Crabal which now specifically coaches DEs/OLBs/Bandit positions. Tyrin Bradley(Sen) who came on strong towards the end of last season and with a fantastic bowl performance vs UNC, and WVU also picked up Ty French(Sen) out of the portal(The highest rated pass rusher in his previous conference). As mentioned WVU also brought in highly rated TJ Jackson(Sen) to improve the rush from inside the DL as he's a shorter twitchy player from Troy(Also one of the highest rated at that level). To go along Martin(Sen), Mulbah(RSSen), EddieV(Sen), Russell(RSJun) WVU is also much more talented, athletic, & deeper at LB than they were last season. Lathan(Which was having an all conference caliber season before getting hurt vs TCU which was really a major blow to WVU defense last year as our depth at LB was already thin), Trotter(NFL family tree, was projected to start last year as a true freshmen until experienced an injury in spring that caused him to miss the entire season), Carrico(RSJun, 4 star LB transfer from Ohio State), Cutter, & Biser. Between Bradley, French, Lathan, Trotter, Carrico and moving Burks to our Spear Safety position(freeing him up for more run support), combined with an improved DL fans think both rush defense & pass rush will be much better this season, def more physical & athletic. If you follow camp closely we are also hearing Hollis & Garnes are performing at a very high level at LCB & RCB this fall. Even with a much worse offense & defense last year on the road in the first game for Greene(Offensive success helps improve defensive performances), WVU held PSU(With a better OL) to about 145 total rushing yards last season. Now Andy will surely do a great job, and will def have a few "gotchya" plays and get his players in space, so theres a lot of unknown variables and how will the improved schematics help mitigate the possible step back on the OL vs an improved WVU DL unit. How will all that shake out. My thoughts is we see both units have periods when they lose & win on plays/series, and its really going to come down to who can be more consistent and how well are Allar and his WRs in sync, ie are they able to quickly find their rhythm+flow+timing in the first game on a road in a somewhat new system. I know many PSU fans think this will be an easy Win, but this could be a game that comes down to whoever has the ball last type of game. WVU will have to play a great game, play smart and efficient to win this game, no stupid mistakes, no turnovers, a Very tough tough game for WVU to win, but..... its possible. Upsets happen literally every week and I think Greene is much better & much improved than people who only look at that 53% overall Completion% as a reflection of his quality. Which provides ZERO context in some of the reasons WHY he was 53% last year. Firstly, he was #1 in passing downfield, he was dependent on 3 Freshmen WRs last year, Jaheim White didnt even start playing until after a few games, which really had a positive effect on the overall offense. I look for his game to expand this season to also be a major threat out of the backfield, as he had the most receiving yards on his HS team as a RB, so he knows how to catch the ball. Greene having White as a quality check down will go a long ways on raising those %'s and being a bit more consistent. Greene comes from a baseball family, and a lot of his short to intermediate passes were fireball lasers, they lacked touch. The word is hes vastly improved on that over the summer. Noted by his standout performance at the Manning Passing Academy this summer, where he was one of just a few QBs listed as standouts. ON paper PSU should win this game. I completely understand if WVU recruited in the top 10-15 every year WVU fans would also feel a bit entitled to a win too vs a Team that hasnt recruited in the top 20 in a long time. But paper doesnt always determine quality, outcomes, matchups, and all the little determining variables. Either way, I just hope for a great game, a clean game with no injuries on either side, and both teams enter the game at full strength so we can see whos best.. All the talk and analysis will be over soon. #LETSGO chEERS
I agree as a PSU fan. Our last few week 1 away games have all come down to the last drive. I do believe we have a more talented team at most position groups but WVU is still a good team and that environment will be crazy. I think PSU offensive coordinator and WRs are the real X factors in the game. Feel like if the offense can put up 24 or more, we will escape with a win.
I actually think our running blocking will improve this year maybe pass blocking won't be as good as last year. But rest of offense should be slightly better everywhere else so be alright. D should be close to last year in my opinion as well.

There is a legitimate question about how the line holds up in pass pro, but the o-line pass blocking grades last season were not good so I’m optimistic the run game blocking could be better even if we have a slightly worse pass pro. I’m not expecting them to face the same issues though. There won’t be stacked boxes thanks to K stretching the field horizontally and vertically, he will set up quick throws and use motion and it won’t be 6-7 guys teeing off against the O-line with drew looking to drop back for 5 seconds so I think there are easy ways to help out the offense as a whole. Yurchich had a systemic issue they coach K will correct.
Just a thought, I'm worried there's a world where kotelnicki isn't as good this season as we think. He has been under Leipold since 2007. It might take some adjusting and growing

Trey Wallace #1 and Fleming #2 (who can block for the elite RBs). Glad Fleming is here for sure - leadership and experience and a good target.
As long as the WRs can prevent the amount of drops that they had last year, they will be better.
