I know GH has had a hard time recasting "Molly", but they definitely struck gold recasting "Christina" with Kate! Recasts are usually so hard to get used to, but Kate felt like she was Christina the minute she hit my screen! Kate not only looks like "Christina's" parents, but she just seems so comfortable in the role, and really fits so well! I'm a fan!

Kate is a welcome addition to General Hospital. She's a wonderful actress that I used to watch on Days Of Our Lives. I hope they give her a storyline that she can show her talents.

I have have and still struggle with depression and anxiety. I use coping mechanisms such as journaling and writing as an outlet. I also pray to God a lot. He's brought me through so much. My heart goes out to every individual struggling with mental health. I pray for them daily.

Kate Mansi is an icon she displays truth, loves her on Days, and loves her as an actor. She handles her health with grace. I can sit and listen to her all day.

Kate is such an amazing actress. When a fan of soaps hears the dreaded words " The roll of so and so is now being played by" we cringe. With Kate there was no cringe. The smoothest recast I have had the pleasure of watching. Maurice when you leave the show they better not even try to recast Sonny. No joke. Another great conversation. Thank you both!

I'm glad Kate was able to share her truth. I didn't think she would speak on the divorce but she seems very at peace. I love how MB adores her and it makes me want to tune back into GH to see what this big Emmy story will be.

Maurice, this was an excellent conversation with Kate. It reminds me of when I was first diagnosed at 39 & people told me they couldn’t relate to me in therapy because I was always so “put together”(hair, clothes, nails, etc.). I was shocked. I told them I might look put together but on the inside I was a mess. I think people will definitely relate to Kate and her story. It was brave & strong of her to share. Thank you Maurice & Kate! ❤ I’m so glad you are here and sharing your story to help others!

I was diagnosed with adhd and general anxiety disorder at 40 yrs old. I never would have gotten professional help,had people like you and your guests not been willing to speak so openly and honestly about your mental health. Thank you for helping people realize that we aren't alone and help is out there if you want it.

I’m happy you found something that is helping you BETTER than the other meds. It took me till 6 years ago to find the right Dr to treat EVERYTHING and we found what worked for me ! (Depression, anxiety, and ptsd)

That was just an incredibly deep, an emotional interview. As much as I adored Lexie, Kate had stepped in and took off in this role. You can see the immediate connection between Kate and Maurice and it just fits. The openness and raw emotion are felt and I also believe many can learn from her experiences she shared in your interview. Thank you both so much! ❤️
Wonderful dialog! I had a cousin who's daughter was bipolar and she deliberately overdosed. My cousin was devastated as were we all. She, my cousin, showed me the letter that was left behind and it will haunt me for the rest of my life because while reading her final words, I could literally feel the self hate, pain, and anguish. I just wish that she had reached out to anyone of us who loved her so much. I would have dropped everything and she knew that as when she was young, before she was diagnosed, I was in a horrific car crash, died twice in the airflight to the hospital had almost every bone in my body broken, had a TBI, and on and on. I ended up in another crash a few years later, not the driver, and then had to seek not just medical help but was then diagnosed with PTSD and I had long talks with my cousin's daughter about that and how in some ways the PTSD was similar to her Bipolar but not in others. So she knew she could talk with me. It bothers me that because of life events, jobs, taking care of aging parents, etc. that we didn't stay as connected and she thought she would be "another" burden. 😥 Absolutely NO ONE is a burden, not to me! So thank you for telling your story and allowing us to hear it and sharing other's stories and life journeys as well. ❤

I think it was cool that she had you to talk to. I hate that she was in that kind of pain. Sometimes it too much in the moment and I think this show has especially shined a light on how the anxiety is so great you may not want to end it , you just want it to stop.

Sad to hear she had to go through some rough patches in her life, but that will make her stronger. Things happen for a reason, and I'm sure things will start falling into place for her. Amen to your conclusion that God has allowed you to suffer so that you could learn and pass on that knowledge to others to help them out of their suffering and even help them through their suffering. 🙏 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

@@MBStateOfMind Maurice I was thinking about you this morning. I have bipolar depression. I didn't want to get out of bed. I did get up at 9 am which isn't bad. But I was thinking about your t-shirt. Well I didn't want Sonny Corinthos coming for me and end up like Gladys lol. I did enjoy your interview with Kate. I'll be honest it took me awhile to warm up to her as Kristina. I can't wait for her upcoming storylines. Much love. I feel like I know Kate alittle more now. The last minute of the interview really did make me cry.
When I saw that Kristina was being recast with Kate Mansi, I turned to my sister and said, “What an incredible coup for GH!” and I was right. I watched her as Abigail on Day Of Our Lives and several Lifetime movies. What an incredible talent! She is an amazing actress but more importantly an amazing human being.

Maurice, Thank You so much for doing these videos. I ❤ that you just speak from your heart and honest with how you talk about yourself and mental health issues. The pandemic really messed me up and now I have major anxiety and at sometimes feeling of fear with things that I never did before. In some ways it made me become a sheltered home body. Watching these videos have giving me motivation and will to change things. It’s been very emotional, but nevertheless I’m taking the steps to getting better. ❤ and God Bless to you and all you do for mental health. You’re Truly Blessed and a lifesaver.

Love Kate Mansi and her character Kristina!! She looks and sounds like happiness and joy which is awesome. Everybody has their moments of tragedy and unhappiness, it is what you do in those moments that will bring you happiness. Like Kate said, take a hard left turn and see where it goes. Maurice, word of caution, your mike is always so much louder than the guest. If you could take it down a notch that would be helpful. Thanks.
