I love how your outfit almost matches the dyed fleece and the blue walls of the room where you are spinning. You setting up the leader reminds me of how you set up a sewing machine. Interesting. I told my husband as I watched you spin that you got some amazing color. Most times when I see someone dyeing fleece it doesn't seem to be as bright and dark when it's finished. This is just gorgious!
Thank you! When you're dyeing it always looks darker wet so it can get tricky knowing when you've used enough dye. Different types of will take the color differently too so sometimes you just can't get it to a dark, vibrant color. There's lots to consider. And i definitely have a preferred color palette lol.
Oh hahaha….. I took my eyes off the screen just before you added the dye mop and relooked as it turned bright pink! I thought “what did I miss…. What did I MISS????” We get very limited dyes here in NZ. I’d love some different colours to experiment with. (Yes, could buy from overseas but the shipping 😱😱)
Hi Tamsin, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast. I love the Humbug Yarn, I'm always amazed how the same fibres dyed in the same dye pot can be so different. 🌟🔆🎉 Love the pinks too. Can't wait to see what the look like spun up. 🎡🎡 Hope you have a Wonderful Weekend ✨️🔆 Happy Dying and Spinning Fibre Friend 🎉🎡🐑🥰 Take care and stay safe and well ✨️🔆 Lots of love and Big Hugs, Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️🫂🫂🫂🫂🐈⬛🐈⬛

Ok this is totally off subject but i know you like the stuff, so look up the shawn ryan show, joe McMoneagle interview. Its super long but soooo worth it!!@@bffiberarts
I love the subtle of the humbug (that word was a lite pejorative when I was a kid - where did it get hooked to yummy yarn?) You combed worsted? Darker on the tips? Or was that just dye/fiber happenstance? So pretty. Glad to see some sun and ground at your house! Yay Spring! Thank you for the video.
The humbug actually came from the candies that are brown and white striped. I just come the fibers without worrying about tips and butts so we'll just say combed roving lol.
Such pretty colours! Interesting that a dye designed for dyeing wool would break so extremely. (And your dyed fibres match your top and your walls. 😁🩵💜)
Yes the humbug dyed into a fabulous yarn.
I'm so pleased with it.
That ball of yarn with the humbug is gorgeous! 💕
Thank you!
Imagine what the humbug would look like in a sweater!
It would be so pretty. But if have to commit to a sweater weight spin. Hmm..
Omg those colours make my heart happy xx
Me too. Right in our wheelhouse!
@@bffiberarts oh yes xx
A very useful demo scientifically approached, I think Pastelly himself would approve 😊. Thankyou!
My scientific techniques likely need work lol. And pastelly is totally a word!
@@bffiberarts 😀… it is I looked it up !
I'm unintentionally a genius lol

Shipping is always a thing for sure. I found that I just wait and order lots. The initial charge doesn't change that much when you add more lol
Wow, really cool yarns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!
That periwinkle is so pretty
I love it.

This was such a blue video! 😆😉
Hello Bobbo!
Bobbo says hi back!
This is really cool. I love the pink! I can’t for the life of me figure out why your voice and personality sounds so familiar!
There's someone in your life who's my doppelganger I bet. You'll see them again someday and it'll click. Hopefully you actually like them lol.

I have a preferred color palette lol. I think the breaking has to do with how much citric acid I use and when I use it. I have a heavy hand with it.
