This song came out when I was 30. I had 2 kids in elementary school. My kids and I would be in the car cruising and singing this song. The 90s had some great tunes. I am now 55, and my kids have their little ones. I find myself looking up 90s tunes because it reminds me of better days. Unfortunately, I lost my son in 2020, but the memory of him singing then and even as a young man makes me smile. Treasure every moment and make them last. They sure help you when you need a smile! ❤😊

I have learned to accept that life is short and to always expect the unexpected. I miss my son every day, but I promised him when I buried him , I would speak his name daily. When I did that, the tears turned to smiles. I feel lost at times, but remember that I was blessed to have him 28 years. God gave me him for a short time, and I am thankful for that.

All we have now, is the memory of the blessed 90’s and as time goes on, the gratitude for being born and having a childhood in those days. We were seriously lucky, being close to the last wave who grew up without the internet, without social media, and honestly, during a time where “social” meant something truly different! I miss it. Also. This song is virtually objectively bad (those lyrics...) but it’s still, provides me with a nice jolt of nostalgia nonetheless.

I bumped this song at max volume after finishing my shift at McDonald's back in 1999. It happened to be playing on the radio. I proceeded to put my 1979 Plymouth Caravelle with a 318 V8 into reverse and turned too sharp... totally destroyed the front end.. it collided with the concrete pillar.... I am still embarrassed about it to this day, 23 years later, but these are the kind of things that we will often reminisce about and will never forget.

In 1999 I'd only would've been 10 years old, but there is a certain overwhelming nostalgia of the good ol 90's that well up when hearing this song and others from that time. Brad kind of has a mourning buddy and one surviving brother left.

I bumped this song at max volume after finishing my shift at McDonald's back in 1999. It happened to be playing on the radio. I proceeded to put my 1979 Plymouth Caravelle with a 318 V8 into reverse and turned too sharp... totally destroyed the front end.. it collided with the concrete pillar.... I am still embarrassed about it to this day, 23 years later, but these are the kind of things that we will often reminisce about and will never forget.

In 1999 I'd only would've been 10 years old, but there is a certain overwhelming nostalgia of the good ol 90's that well up when hearing this song and others from that time. So I might not have been 15 but I completely understand the sense of that summer being special, in fact summer for a lot of the 90s was just something else. So, so so many memories and looking back on them is bittersweet, it's long gone and time presses on but those memories are magical.

Brad kind of has a mourning buddy and one surviving brother left.
