Your ability to train dogs is what I strive for honestly. I see so many dogs that run away and fail to respond to any commands... I want my dog to be happy and obviously able to do what she wants, but people forget you need a strong foundation for your dog to want to come back to begin with
I found a little revelation in this vid: my dog is working for her reward, not for me or because I'm dominant. And I believe you because besides having amazingly well trained dogs you also obviously love them extravagantly. I have a 1 yr old Schip who I swear channels a Malinois. Some of the gaps in her obedience are being fixed by my giving more rewards like play & food. Thank you! I love watching your vids. I would love more training tips!
All that alpha Omega stuff got debunked by the person who proposed it in the first place, So anyone who's trying to be dominant over their dog is just wasting their time and giving their dog very mixed messages
Just (almost) unbelievable. I’ve honestly never seen anything so astonishing re: dog training. The dog is not even balking or tripping up or “Omg, he said ‘coucher’ didn’t he? My bad!” Just incredible! I love it!
I have seen some of the best trainers and you are right there with them. Seriously, I enjoy watching your videos so much and I am simply amazed at how in sync you two are. You and Alrick are incredible! Thank you for sharing!
...you are dancing with the dog... You are so inspiriing with your gentle soul! And you inspired me to put more thought in my communication with my girl Brina, american akita. Your way of thinking is so good and i just used it a little and got instant positive reaction from my dog. Thank you from Slovenia!
We, as the trainer, do have a bit of dominance in the equation. We hold the key to training. We hold the reward and determine the outcomes we want. We also have to correct and retrain the things the pup does not understand or does incorrectly. It is part of our job being the leader.
Done well you absolutely transfer the value of the reinforcement into you and playing our silly games. So that working with us has the same value as getting the bal. Being in that zone is a beautiful place!
In love with your dogs 🐕 💕 ❤️ Amazing, talented and tons of dedication and hard work on both parties. For a beginner, where doI start? Thank you so much for sharing. Inspirational!!!! 🥰😍
Wow, what a speed!!!! Incredible fast! I have to watch ur videos and train with my Mali puppy like you show us, to become as fast. Thats amazing! I know that they work for the reward. But I had a female Mali, which I am sure she did a lot of the work just for me! Not from the very beginning, but later on. She was very special. Now I have my 4. Malinois and for the first time a male. Will see how he does when hes grown.
Da pooo puuup I love your videos and your energy dogs trainers like you are life. I’m a trainer too thanks for pushing me from another fellow trainer happy training your the prime example of what a trainer needs to be. Keep doing what you do and remember happy training and your amazing.
Wow! Very true. I have been training dogs for years now, and I have learned that some dogs work to please, others work for the reward. In this case, working dogs are interested in reward. Nice work!
found your channel just when i started to think about buying a dog.. really helpful.. would request a vlog type content if you get a new puppy and walk us through how you train them. kindly make a playlist. lots of love❤❤
Do consider adopting instead. As someone who fosters and trains dogs, know there are just as many responsive, eager to please dogs in shelters as in breeders and there are plenty of puppies too if that is what you want. I now would never even think of buying a dog, no way :) Also, seeing how many fishy breeders there are out there... not in a million years.
I found your channel yesterday by accident, watching UA-cam Shorts. I want to say that as of the last few weeks I've wanted a Black Lab, but now that I've watched through a fourth of your channel, I think I would find more value investing in a dog that I can train in this way. As of now I've got a couple middle aged cats, and it's clear to me that I didn't bond with them when I should have. Anyway, it's really awesome that your training works intuitively and naturally, and is also similar to what I did with my cats (I think most people try a very subtle version of this), but it seems that your dogs are already quite well trained, so perhaps the experience for someone with a new dog isn't equivalent. Would you consider trying to train someone else's dog in a three minute video just like this, so that we can see whether your behavior adjusts, and if so, how, when you're not training one of your own beloved and already-trained dogs? Again, I don't know what it's like to train a dog, but my cats were learning "sit" from the luring method (of course my hand of food was smaller) and even managed to learn "lay down" within the same time frame, but after a few minutes they'd just stop trying to get the treat and from then on, they stopped sitting and lying down on command, at all. I imagine that my error was in the small hand of treats, but I can assume that younger puppies, ones ripe for relationship building and initial training, will get tired or maybe won't be so invested in training properly. A video training a new dog, potentially a young dog, would answer so many questions on your channel. I personally just can't imagine that the process is the same no matter the age and familiarity of the dog. I do not doubt you, I just wish to see it in action so that everyone can learn at a level relative to their own pets. Thank you for having an amazing UA-cam channel. No BS, just what people come to see.
You can train pretty much any dog this way but some breeds really love this kind of work. Working dogs require a lot of time and dedication. I had a working German shepherd from a line in Czechoslovakia and East Germany. I'd had other German shepherds before but this one required so much more energy, time and dedication (which I gave her). It was worth it though.
I have a black lab of working line. She is athletic, fast learner, loves to train and you could train her to do all of this, BUT… she is not a malinois. She is a lot easier to handle than a malinois and fewer things can go wrong. Dogs like the one in the video need an experienced handler and lots of training. I say like Kommen Tatort, get a lab 😊
Thank you thank you thank you for this amazing video! I adore your channel and learn so much from it. You are a huge inspiration to me and your training is truly impressive. I've been training my rescues my whole life and recently started working eith service puppies in training. I hope to one day get the opportunity to work with k9s and train as well as you do! You and your dog did an amazing job in this video! Your training methods are ethical, logical, and successful, and im so glad that i stumbled upon your channel because it can be hard to find that in the dog training world! If you are able to, I would really aprieciate a video or vlog where you show us how exactly you train your k9s to do all of there important tasks, from the very start and basics. This way I can learn more and try it out with my dogs! Whether you are able to make training videos like this or not ai aprieciate your content regardless, so thank you and keep it up!!! -love from NJ ❤️
Beautiful - new sub here. I only got a Beagle, but yes that's such a good point; one has to realize they don't work because they "love" us so much, it's all for the prize. In the Beagle's case, that's food, to the point he's as crazed about that almost as a Mali is about toys.
Matt thank you so much for this amazing content. I would be forever grateful to learn from you is there any way I could contact you? I have a 3yo Shepherd and he wants to work and I will do it whatever it takes to make it happen. You are an absolute inspiration and I would be so grateful to learn from you. If there’s any way I could get into contact please 😅
Can you teach us the how not the what? Love what you do with your dogs. But I have a 5 month mal and would love to see the very basics to Go away and work with
When he gets the ball, why does he immediately want to show it to you/have you wrestle him with it, vs running off and playing? Or is that just how he plays? If he's not working, and just in free dog mode, does he do the same thing? Amazing video, dog training is great to watch when done well.
Even in free dog mode malinois are focused on their owners, assuming it’s a good owner. I think they work for their reward, and associate the great reward as coming from the handler.
OMG if you are ever in the UK.. we have a girl first 2.5 years in RSPCA kennels since 7 days old. She an incredible dog but finding the right trainer us almost impossible.
Great job💪, the communication between and dogs is amazing. Could you create a step by step serie of videos? This will be appreciated🤝 by a lot of people on the community. I got a new puppy Golden Retriever and I would like to achieve that level of obidience and discipline. Thanks for your content and hard work.
When you look in the mirror tonight, know-dude, you are probably the best trainer in the world. I know he’s working for his reward, but what people don’t understand is that he’s so happy because you respect him and he knows it!
How do you teach your dogs such intense focus on what they want, even while they're in the "out"? mine starts staring at me with his "so when can i get it dada?" face
I hope you see this question I'm thinking about getting a dog and yes I will do the training but one thing I was wondering can you train a dog to go to the bathroom in a designated area I have a very large yard do not want to have to pick up potty all over my yard so I would like to have a designated fenced-in opening with an open door so the dog can come and go do you think that's possible I would greatly appreciate your response and thank you
Right, you have to show him as a puppy where you want him to potty and if he do so, reward him, so he will lern by the time where hes place to potty is. Thats easy.
He was drooling at the sight of the ball I think-
He was lol
We need more step by step training videos!
Pay 300.
Your ability to train dogs is what I strive for honestly. I see so many dogs that run away and fail to respond to any commands... I want my dog to be happy and obviously able to do what she wants, but people forget you need a strong foundation for your dog to want to come back to begin with
I’m amazed at how fast the dog moves and reacts, almost as if the entire video was choreographed!
I agree!
I am mesmerized watching them
Remarkable and magnificent!
I found a little revelation in this vid: my dog is working for her reward, not for me or because I'm dominant. This has to be the greatest 3 min dog training video of all time.
Your boopup training is some of THEE best choreography ever. Simply wonderful examples of how to be a good dog owner. Thank you for sharing!
LOVE that statement-- Nothing to do with Alpha or dominance, the dog is working for his reward! Everyone should see this.
All that alpha Omega stuff got debunked by the person who proposed it in the first place, So anyone who's trying to be dominant over their dog is just wasting their time and giving their dog very mixed messages
Just (almost) unbelievable.

Very great communication between you and the pupper, love to see it
I absolutely love watching you with your dogs!

Your videos are amazing, so informative and well explained! I will definitely keep your tips and tricks in mind. Thank you from germany :)
Jeez, the jump cuts are awesome. Nice video!
Love how he was drooling but focused
Love all your videos. Truly a deep understanding of the canine human relationship.

That was so good love it
You just took my pain away with that video.
Good medicine thank you
Love watching
Absolutely amazing
This guys incredible!👍
This is incredible!! 🤩
Your channel/ videos are fascinating you really are an amazing pet owner trainer.

Very well said 👍
Your awesome, that’s amazing
This was masterful
Best trainer in the world!
It’s because he’s poohpup😂 love your videos!❤
You are unbelievably amazing!!! Do you offer an online training course??? I dream of my dog being able to focus on me when her ball comes out.
Phenomenal!
Best dog trainer

Excellent
Hope my dog will one day be this good 😂
I showed this to my Anatolian Shepherd. She watched for 10 seconds & left the room. #progress

Don´t get a Malinois !!! I´m protection guard with Malinois - THIS IS NOT A DOG FOR NORMAL PEOPLE !!!

This is fucking impressive
Your heelwork gives me nino from stsk9 vibes!
What do you feed your malinois??
i would love to know how to teach them basic commands in german such as drop it, lay, etc. even things like attention focusing
That’s sweeeeett!!!!
Does something change in the progression of training if used on a different breed from the malinos?
OMG if you are ever in the UK.. we have a girl first 2.5 years in RSPCA kennels since 7 days old. She an incredible dog but finding the right trainer us almost impossible.
Hi! where can I get this ball for my puppy?
Where can I buy that ball?
Is there a video of how to get started with thislol
Just wondering where’d you get that ball on the rope
Hes trained the dog so hard that he became saitama
Whats the command for focus on the ball and heel left?
Is this possible with a mastiff like a corso or boerboel?
Please, what commands do you use during training? Gooshi seems great to me, but I can't find this or any other command anywhere. Thank you very much
❤❤❤❤
How you get the dog in between your legs like that? Would love to see how you train the dog to do that.
Shaping by following the food in your hand to show/learn him the position you want him to be.
