The pain never really goes way...i lost my brother to suicide in 2010 and listening to this song brings back a lot of emotions.

Sad fact: Her bother got to listen to this song but sadly later that day he passed away. Her bother passed away from cancer and she mentioned how they were super close like in the song she says “you are more than just my bother we grew up just like best friends” 🥺

I lost my brother almost three weeks ago in a tragic way, where my dad witnessed it. He left behind a 9 year old daughter. I will never understand why life takes the good before the bad. I don’t understand why things are the way they are. But I won’t give up and I’ll keep pushing. Found out I’m pregnant too, so I have many reasons to fight. I love you Scotty.

This song reminds me of my amazing brother Nelson Lamar Shepherd, who I tragically lost to Schizophrenia. My brother was the strongest individual alive, despite his on going battle with mental illness and being hospitalized continuously. This song helped me cope with the uncertainty of what we were battling up against for the past year. No more suffering from Schizophrenia, you're finally free to be at peace. I love you tremendously! Her music has been healing my soul lately bc u never really meet alot of people who lost there older brother who like shes says more than siblings but bestfriends. I feel every single word when she writes about him. When he died i promised i would never use substances to ease the pain. So i love this video so much.

I lost my brother to suicide last year. It’s an indescribable type of pain. I wake up sad everyday knowing that he’s gone. I can’t say that I’m happy living life because I’m not. Nothing can prepare you for the heartbreak that comes with losing a loved one. All you can do is pray for healing..
