At this time, BEAT X FES was prohibited from cheering due to the COVID19 countermeasures so the crowd could only applaud.
Isn't there another thing in Japanese culture, where 'going wild' or cheering during a concert is considered disrespectful? Or is that thing in the past, or am I wrong about something? Genuine question.

@@StayFr0sty What are you saying? You could hear the reverb his whole routine due to how quiet it was, as well the applauding at times. You’d be able to hear screaming if there was. Man already explained the reason being Covid countermeasures but if I’m reading correctly you are saying no, they are screaming, and the mic isn’t picking it up because of background noise reduction??

@@Cam_beatbox no they're talking about the fact that the crowd wasn't allowed to cheer/let out voice. was part of covid-19 regulations in japan at the time

this takes me back to the glory days of 2019 for dlow, but also strengthens my opinion that he's the best beatboxer of all time.
He definitely is, his presence on stage is always mesmerizing.
Hiss, show-go and helium are also quite consistent.

WTF dlow Sounds live sooo good. U know how insane a beatboxer is then he sounds on stage as good as he sounds on his wildcards or songs! Too bad some sounds don’t really come through because of the mic but it’s just amazing how skilled he is on stage. The second drop of sound sketch with the dlow scratch is just unbelievable how good he performs it on stage after he already did bonedust!!! I love u dlow and keep up the grind boy❤️❤️❤️
I think the soundissue is because they took the sound straight from the mic so we basically hear the signal that they fed into their soundsystem. Seems like it because you can not hear shit from the crowd. Advantage is that the sound is really really clean, however the bass has no impact because they mastered the sound for a system with probably big ass subwoofers in a huge location..
@@Yul_B_Awright idk anything about production but i have a feeling his sounds were tampered with because his kick sounds very punchy and heavy at the end. Did they take the human element out or is he just that good?
@@axlrosesson6300 If they tampered with the tone to make it sound better than it actually was performed, they wouldn't have left the bass like this. It sounds rather raw to me. If you want a reference how good quality sounds dlow can produce, check out his song called "textures" on his channel.
So this is pure sound from the mic, it's good to hear but feels empty without crowd noise... D-Low is crazy as usual ❤

FYI, the reason why the crowd doesn’t cheer at all is that they were forbidden to do that because of the Covid situation in Japan at that time, as I have mentioned in the comment section in another video of this event. Here, I want to make it crystal-clear that Japanese crowd is one of the best crowds as far as I know! I hope this helps.

No, crowd cheer up normally but the sound engineer was recording only Dlow’s voices and muted the crowd sound automatically, thats why you dont hear the crowd sound

Yeah this is finally the first d-low stage performance we've had in a while, and the audio mixing is dismal. Like what the hell has been happening to beatbox videos lately? I feel like almost all of the beatbox videos in the past had been fine until like 2020. After 2020 the audio has been kinda shit for the most part when it comes to live events.
I mean as much as I don't want to disrespect all the people responsible for putting all this together for us as I'm sure it mustn't have been easy, I just want to know the reason for the obvious downgrade in sound quality. Like, it's beatboxing - it's all about sound, and that somehow seems to be the one thing that they can't get right for some reason.
It's just that it's his stage mic sound only. Usually there is camera audio mixed in as well for the live performances to give it a more full sound. Not just for the crowd noise but the room makes a very big difference.
@@captain_powow come on, dismal is going way too far. the audio is super clean. you can hear all the details perfectly. but just as insystem7 said, there's a lack of crowd audio. beatbox audio also heavily depends on the venue, not just how it's mixed.
I'm not sure, but if I had to guess a big reason the audio was mixed like this was because live crowds were not allowed to let their voice out in Japan due to covid-19 at this time
