the reason the lights were off is because of eco mode, the light and fan cut off after 5 minuites of inactivity
plus the clunk is the motor not a relay, most new lifts dont use relays

I think it's more on security because thieves can just take the stuff and then use the elevator to go down to exit

How did you manage to go down the elevator?
Once I tried going down it didn't work the button said no access

You got a glitch, just press the down button or go up and press 3 again at the upper level.

You can go down when the restarurant & cafe is open but not the store itself (9-10a.m. I think)
