I appreciate her initiative in raising her voice as a feminist for tibetan femine, but so called feminisim which had once been ideological driving force in western country, has latter reached its eco in rest part of d world n became one subject to study in...but for us, tibetans, spreaded all over d with no country afte chiness occupation of our land, has more other issue n challenges to be concern for...young, energetic n intelligent girl like Ten kalsang shud also concern for issue which matter more to tibetans in larger towards our ultimate goal...
Voice of Tibet needs to be careful and needs to study before selecting the interview guest. It is considered as one of the biggest platform in our society. We would like to hear from a deep thinker or an idealogy person or a mentor so that we can empower our women by rising their limits and find the highest potential.
I totaly object one of her statement that a culture has to change if it harms a person. There is no single culture or tradition since begining of life that pleases all its poeple. It is simply not possible in real world.. Unless in her fairy world. #Shallow Talk

Definitely modern fiminist gone too far... Its a cancer of our eastern tradition or family structure... Womens empowerment is already exist in our tibetan society since 1959 when tibetan women's association established... I'm not from jungle who know nothing about modern fiminist.. I'm from Paris.. And been around every corner of the world... Believe me it's a cancer...
Tibetan women have more rights than men. Tibetan women can marry up to 5 men (polyandry) , whereas men are allowed only one wife. Tibetan society as a Buddhist have many advantages like absence of caste system, dowry system, segregation of women or forceful dress code like wearing burqa. Domestic violence exist in every society and the cause is not because of gender inequality in the society. In advanced wealthy society, we have counsellors (social workers) giving family counselling the couple about handling issues in the relationship.
