    Moose hunting 2023 - 10 Shooting scenes - hunting - hunting film.
Moose hunting has started for the 2023 hunting season. Good luck to everyone this fall. Remember to film your hunts and send them to us. Email: jaktmagasinet@gmail.com
Moose hunting is conducted to limit the growth of the moose population, as an excessively large moose population would lead to extensive forest damage and an increased number of traffic accidents.
    Hunting methods
Jämthund is a very common breed in Sweden when free-range dog hunting for moose.
Moose bull and barking moose dog at the Norwegian Forest Museum in Elverum.
Wild dog hunting with a set dog is suitable in areas with large, contiguous lands. The dog handler walks with the dog loose against the wind. If the dog comes into contact with a moose that is standing (not running away), the dog starts barking. The hunter then tries to sneak up close to get a shot. Often, pass shooters are also placed around the seat where the dog handler walks.
Guided dog hunting differs from loose dog hunting in that the dog is always on a leash. The handler and the dog walk against the wind. When the dog senses the sight of a moose, it marks it and leads the dog handler to the moose. Even in this form of hunting, pass shooters can be deployed because it is common for the elk to be pushed out of the hunt by the dog handler during his attempt to get close to the elk.
The most common hunting dogs: An elk dog that is used, especially during the elk hunt, is the hunting dog. The Jämthunden is a strong and fast dog, the Jämthunden is also known for its similar appearance to the wolf. The closely related greyhound is also used in hunting, mainly for moose.
This is another film in our popular series "Hunting with Hound". In the film, you can come along as we hunt moose with our Jämthundar from the beautiful mountain world of northern Sweden to the moose-dense lands of southern Sweden. We are passionate elk hunters and spend a huge amount of time with our elk dogs. And, as in previous films in this series, we have focused a lot on the dogs' work to stop the moose so that we can get to shooting. And this film contains many exciting chase sequences. It's an hour long, so please watch it on your TV. The film was made by Emil and Kjell Lennartsson at Härkila

Nothing wrong with that. Nobody around.

@@useryggfdcc Actually, there is something wrong with that. The issue is that YOU might not know that someone is around. That is why you need to care about what will catch the bullet on the other side. Shooting down a road is pretty idotic because that bullet have a clear path to travel which can fly and hit someone far away who the hunter never even considered being there.
This shot was not a good shot. You shouldn't shoot down clear paths as it doesn't have a bullet catch.
He also shot a running animal which you shouldn't do with a bullet. The odds that you miss or just wound it is high.
The hardest part about hunting is to know when not to shoot. You will never regret a shot that was never taken.

They use shotguns, pellets don't travel far. A rifle is a different story. Proper back stop and shooting is fine.
A road is not a good location but many birds use it so the hunting happens there.
