Chronos and Kairos

Chronos and Kairos is a 4-hands pianopiece written after reading and inspired by the book Kairos from the Dutch author Joke Hermsen. It has been send to the 'Internationales Kompositionswettbewerb from the University of Oldenburg in Germany where it has been performed in the first version with Werner Barho. Now in the final version I perform it with my college-pianist and teacher Seeun Choi from Leer. You hear the Chronos- moments in the sound of ticking seconds and the Big-Ben theme. Kairos appears in the unexpected and strong moments, The peacefully dialogue in ourselves as sounding meanwhile in the composition brings that unexpected and consious moments can come together and bring developmoment and fullfilling joy.
