This video is so important because it's just them enjoying their own music; there's no audience to ham it up for, no talk show host jumping in for comments afterwards, it's just pure mcr and it's amazing.
4:38 even without any lyrics there’s so much packed into this last minute. So amazing. Just pure emotion, love and music. They all feel it while playing as much as we do listening to it, if not more than we do. Amazing
I know I'm late, but I know what you mean. The feeling they have performing it and the feelings the watchers/listeners get...its just overwhelming, in a great way❤️
I don't think I will ever stop listening to mcr. I love the guitar bit right at the end at like 5 minutes. I wish someone would make a loop of it that lasts forever
the one line "You only hear the music when your heart begins to break" holds so much meaning for me, and is probley the reason why almost no one is able to understand how much this music means to me.
I am a HUGE MCR fan and even got a large tattoo last year for my birthday that says I'm Not Okay and My Chemical Romance. They have helped me through so much they will never know. This is one of my all time favorite songs by them! If you don't like them, then don't listen but everyone has their favorites and MCR is one of mine!!! Be nice to each other and respect others opinions and choices!
this will never fail to make me cry. i'm so proud of this band so proud of everything they achieved so proud of being part of this somehow. i literally fell in love with them at the first time i heard them and will take this love to my grave.
I am not a fan of Danger Days, but wow, this is probably my favorite song on the album. Also this song made it pretty clear that they were going to break up and that probably why they sing this song with so much emotion, because it was the last of all the rides they took.
Well no they broke up three years after danger days. There was conventional weapons afterwards and they were working on another album called the paper kingdom. They broke up while recording the paper kingdom and destroyed all the tracks apart from fake your death
Interesting Fact: This MCR track was released as the final single from "Danger Days..." and, in turn, the last single released by the band from their final studio album before their hiatus. In the lyric booklet of "May Death Never Stop You," MCR bassist Mikey Way reveals: "This song allows me to reflect on my entire life - being a kid, growing up, learning about the universe, entering adulthood, and pondering the future. In that respect, it acts as a time capsule/ time machine in my mind. Countless memories pour out of me that I hadn’t thought about in decades or had seemingly almost forgotten."
idk why but your comment just made me cry… i haven’t cried in two years (besides of when i cut onions, but that doesn’t count, because those weren‘t emotional tears), because I couldn‘t, everytime I tried, my brain blocked it… i think i cried now, because i struggle with the fact that I‘m growing up (i‘m 16, but I feel like 13 was yesterday) and I‘m scared of being an adult… Just what you quoted from Mikey, this made me cry… thanks ig, for giving me back that ability ((:
this is just perfect. i could listen to this for hours. best song on danger days, and it's truly incredible live. i fucking love My Chemical Romance :)
This song is so beautiful because it seems to be looking back at their past as a band. Mikey said that as a whole this is their favorite song on Danger Days, and you can see why. I think it holds a lot of meaning for both the band and the fans. I'll just go dry my eyes now... this performance was amazing.
It's beautiful, seeing them be so passionate about their music, they must be so proud of themselves, creating such beautiful music, their expressions also say so, at peace, happy, passionate! It's so inspiring how they just get lost in their beautiful world of music! You can see how Frank is easily into it, you can see how Gee is just fascinated about how all the music comes, how Mikey just loves putting the rhythm in, and Ray how he is just so focused on his music, it's just a magical time! x
This version of the song makes me cry. Invariably.... You can see the passion and the feeling in their eyes, so clear... The song is full of meaning and the album carries such a strong message, I think My Chemical Romance has to be the greatest band of our time. No doubt, many will disagree, but these 4 wonderful people have saved so many lives, including my own with their music... When Gerard sings, you can see the purpose and life in his eyes, and Frank, you can see the passion...
Oh my god. I was 20 when this came out, I was at university and I remember being obsessed with this version of the song and with danger days in general. I started crying watching it today, as I can relate to the lyrics more than ever, I stopped being a kid long ago, but I feel like MCR were with me in probably the best time of my life. It kind of hurts that I'm not 20 anymore :(
This song inspires me to make a difference. Imma go out there and form a band. I don't care if it brings me down or I become famous. I'm gonna do it. Don't care if I'll be hated or laughed at. I just want to do it and sing my gut and heart out. Epic video by the way, LOVE
I remember loving this performance when I went through my MCR phase as a teen. Looked it up now, over a decade later, and it's as powerful as I remembered.
That was, like, GODLY. One of Gee's best vocal perfomances, in my opinion. Really, really passionate recording. Love Frank at the end. Of course, trying to lighten things up. And Gerard tapping his heart. I love these guys. Long live the MCRmy.
This video is so important because it's just them enjoying their own music; there's no audience to ham it up for, no talk show host jumping in for comments afterwards, it's just pure mcr and it's amazing.

I love how they haven't just focused on Gerard and actually got the rest of the band in. Don't see that too much these days
I don't think I will ever stop listening to mcr. I love the guitar bit right at the end at like 5 minutes. I wish someone would make a loop of it that lasts forever
you can see it in his eyes
I really love that riff that Ray Toro starts playing from 1:08 - 1:35. I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out on guitar ;_;
Funnily enough, as I sit here that's exactly what I'm trying to tab down.
Ray deserves more appreciation

Me and my best friend are kinda drifting apart at the moment. This song used to be so special to both of us, now it's heartbreaking to listen to.
