- This lecture, which was spoken in Los Angeles on April 30, 1961, was originally titled "The Mystical Experience in Daily Living: The Miracle of Divine Mind", and explores the Tao te Ching in a modern, contemporary context. Listen as Mr. Hall once again takes us on a journey of consciousness in the vast expanse of the inner life.

The Tao Te Ching is one of the easiest and most mystical reads I've ever encountered... I highly recommend it to everyone.

Rudolph Steiner is another who has hundreds, if not thousands , of audio lectures. He’s a little less known than Hall, but in some ways even more insightful.
Why these luminaries are not taught in schools is maddening. A lot of our problems would be void.

This is an extremely valuable, heartfelt, powerful and useful talk by Manly Hall. I'd say it's one of his best, but of course I say that about a lot of his talks anyway.
41:24 I am attending an 8 week parenting course, "Conscious Discipline" and I love how much this section of MPHs lecture coincides with how we are learning in the parenting course.
3 brain states: survival - am I safe, emotional - am I loved, executive - we can work this out. Anyhow, the incorporation of breath as a tool for the child and parent to quickly move from survival and emotional to an executive function is very helpful when disciplining a young person as well as with anyone or situation else.

Just as we ponder at appealing unfairness of present times life, the MPH’s words of wisdom set forth the Eternal truth: Sun is by far much more stronger than our Moon, which is closer.
The abstract called Love can be expressed concretely as a hug, etc.
The abstract called Wisdom can be expressed concretely as competent behaviours.
Love without Wisdom is blind. Wisdom without Love is lame. Their union generates the power of the Will (child of promise) to take appropriate action toward fulfillment of the Heart's desire.
Freedom is a Way of Being. Being aware of being aware is unmodulated by the 5 senses, thus unfettered, which is the resonant state frequency closest in alignment with the frequency of the all-inclusive Absolute, where all things are possible (Wisdom and Understanding).
People often confuse the roles of thought and action. Just because you have a thought does not mean you have to act on it, and you are not inherently bad for having the thought. Any person who has ever uttered the phrase "words are violence" has confused thought with action and is projecting his own violent, aberrant thoughts on to others. Any person trying to thought police others is most likely revealing his own inability to "police" or regulate his own emotions. I think that Hall is saying that extreme emotions are fine, it's what you choose to do with them that matters. Emotions need to become our servants instead of our masters. I hope that the habit of contemplating one's own emotions via discursive (Western) meditation comes back into fashion rather than the trend of running to a psychiatrist or counselor to sort it out for you. Prayer is also often abused in a botched attempt to solve emotional problems instead of actually contemplating them and where they come from. Prayer is supposed to be a conversation with a deity yet too many treat it as a one-way litany of whining that God is obliged to answer with favors and prosperity.
Druids and other mystery school societies, such as the 33'rds and Skull&Bones, are the ones perpetrating the current cultural teachings and events that defy the universal Hermetic Laws, such as rhythm, cause & effect and gender. They have also cleverly forbid the application of universal maxims within the 'legal system' for all but themselves. My guess is that these souls have returned to this plane many times and still haven't learned their lessons. They will most likely return again, as the Monad/ALL needs to experience everything, good and bad, which sucks for the rest of us, though that's required experience for us all here too. We win/lose all at once! lol

At the very most fundamental level of everything is an Underlying and Permeating Field of Information.
Thinking about "Nothingness" is still creating Information / "The Information of Nothingness".
Even if at some point in Time "Nothing" existed, that Information of Nothingness was still "Something". The Something being the Information.
Therefor it is a Paradox. All things exist simultaneously with No things existing.
The Field of Information generates all of Existence.
The thought of doing something always occurs before the act of doing it. So,
Action follows Thought. Thought follows Consciousness.
Consciousness = the Infinite, Permeating and Underlying Field of Quantum Information which generates All Existence while Existence resides within the Field while having a bit of the Field inside of anything created by the Field.
That "bit of Field" is individual Consciousness. But never forget it is only a piece of the Infinite Consciousness.
All existence is an Excitation on a Field.
You, Me, Dog, Cat, Car, Truck, Building, Dirt, Mud, Grass, Soda, Water, Earth, Universe, Brains, Toys, Burgers, Good, Evil, Love, Hate, Hot, Cold, Happy, Sad etc- Are all individualized, personified emanations from the Field/Source.
Each of us were made by Source. Exist within Source. & have Source within us. But none of us ARE the Source.
The Source = Eternal Consciousness/God/Akash.
All other gods in existence, all angels and fallen angels, demons, monsters, cute things, nasty things, are all individual excitations within the Field. Everything is a Personalized, Individualized Emanation of and from the Field.
Even me typing this comment started as a Thought within my Mind before becoming a physical manifestation on a screen so that my internal thoughts can be seen by others.
The Thoughts originate within Consciousness.
Consciousness exists outside the boundaries of Spacetime while also existing within Spacetime, creating our 3rd density hologram reality, which is nothing more than excitations within an Eternal Field of Consciousness.

Indeed, well put. I am no gnostic, but as I understand, this is what they believed as well. I like this thought, because it is unifying and because it makes sense. Perhaps not on a rational level, but on a deeper, more intuitive level.

Well, I listened to 18 minutes of this and it is very clear to me that this man has no understanding of Laozi. Rather he is trying to interpret Dao De Jing through the Western religious prism, attributing the Daoist philosophy values of a tool designed to combat negativity. Whereas in fact Daoism is about deconstructing these concepts altogether. It is about emptying your mind and becoming a vessel through which the Dao flows, not about utilizing your mind to best efficiency. The very attribution of goals to Daoism is in itself a misreading of it.
Well, I'm glad you're here to set him straight. Or perhaps it's your interpretation that is incorrect. We'll never know...
@@AlAlaikum where did I say it's about being passive? I said it's about emptying your mind. Maybe just read the book instead of listening to third parties. I think you're confusing Dao De Jing with some self-help book, it never comments on "being happy without others being a determining fact." In fact, the word 'happiness' doesn't appear once in the entire text.
