I am so PROUD of Austin Peay them boys did not lay down and faught until the end. They faught like Campbell Kids. 101st we got hit by the same tornado that hit Austin Peay many years ago so those are our kids forever. Great Job

Jesus the first half was a trainwreck. Have to be far better than that going forward if Tennessee wants to do anything this season. Hopefully this gets fixed in practice

I feel bad for Milton but he is 6th year senior and has already lost the starting job at Michigan and Tennessee both and he still playing bad way to many overthrown passes I am just ready to accept the fact that he is not the answer ..it'll be hard to follow in hendon hookers footsteps but nico definitely needs the keys and to be in the driver seat and have control of this offense I mean why not and why wait until it's to late..just my opinion I guess
This was a messy win, it was supposed to be a blowout. Though, Austin Peay did have a good defense and the game is proof of that.
Austin Peay does not have a good defense. They gave up 49 points to Southern Illinois last week. Tennessee just had an off week against a bad team and it is as simple as that.

Austin Peay had physical play & a good game plan.... but with UT's O line, running game, an occasional defensive stop- the Vols were just too much! Week 3 will be the first "Ball game".
Occasional defense stops? Bro the defense dominated the whole game until the 4th quarter really just my opinion
Hopefully Coach Walden brings this intensity to UTEP.

Just gonna warn TN fans! As a Michigan fan, you better prepare yourselves for the Joe Milton implosion! He's gonna cost your team at least 2 or 3 games this year. He's careless with the ball, and lacks the heart to handle adversity. I saw it firsthand while he was at Michigan in 2020. Just sayin!!!
As a Vol fan, I know I'm in the minority here ... I just wish Tennessee would stop with all the grey uniforms and black uniforms and stick to the orange and white. I know tonight's uniforms were in some way meant to honor Condredge Holloway ... who as far as I know never wore a smoky grey uniform so I fail to see the connection. But they were god awful ugly. The home opener should be played in the orange jerseys and white pants. Begin hateful comments in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

Can’t stand those ugly gray uniforms but the black and orange look good imo and Tennessee seems to play better wearing the black. I think it looks intimidating and it’s fitting colors for October (Halloween)
Never in my life have I seen such awful officiating. And of course none of the disputed calls made the highlight reel.
I mean… did you see the UGA Tenn game last year? That was some BS calls against UGA, yet they pulled it out. And yeah, these refs sucked too.
im a governors fan and i went to this game it was amazing and even though we lost vols didn't have a really good game just like us last week we went against the salukis it was a horrible game. every college team has a bad game or off game

Get castles involved more. Take deep shot early to build confidence for Milton. I think it also helps the way he gauges his arm for the game. Kinda like calibrating.

Is it just me or is joe Milton an average qb in a good system. It was messy today. They haven’t played anyone tough yet. I have been watching every college football game since I was 9 in 2012, and he doesn’t look special. He definitely gives them a chance to win games, but im excited for nico to take over next year
Hes extremely athletic and has a cannon, but he isn’t always accurate. Misses a lot of throws high. I dont know I have hope he will be better as the season go on

@@imresoloman633he played horrible. His stats were all yards after catch. He threw like 15 screen passes. Some of the drops were on the receivers but he cannot hit his receiver in stride. He has never been a good qb and he’s proving it again. Nico is the guy

@@shaneharris327 there’s a difference between looking uncoached and being uncoached. Looked uncoached just simply means not ready to play, horrible looking, and so on. Had they played like the weeks before it would’ve been 100-0. The Georgia State sucked as well because they looked like they actually had not been coached.

Joe Milton struggle again. Last in SEC in Yards per attempt, second to last in QBR and 10th of 14 in passing yards after playing Virginia (who just LOST to a dead president called "James Madison" and an "Austin Peay" where in the first half he struggled mightily both times. He will be benched just as I said before the season.
