The trolley is nice, but it hasn't done anything for traffic. Everyone riding has kids, so it's hardly taken seriously as transportation, except for recreation for families with small kids.

    Michigan Realtor and Racial Steering
The state faces some _racial steering_ lawsuits, which include a realtor who handled Grosse Pointe as recently as 2006. The couple involved (Black) were repeated _steered_ to Harper Woods, where the realtor assured them that kids in that community are permitted to attend Grosse Pointe Schools.
Similar segregation policies have allowed Detroit schools to physically fall apart over the past few decades. I wouldn't allow my child to go to a filthy school. I'd just bite the bullet and home school. Children in the US shouldn't have to endure low quality education. This is one of the richest countries in the world. Education should be first class for all citizens.
What's crazy to me is that they persisted asking about GP listings and he equally held his ground in directing them to Harper Woods. He must have had a really forceful personality, b/c they bought a home in HW and were never once allowed to see a GP home. When that happens, you switch realtors. Why were they so docile? Didn't they know that you can fire your realtor for refusing to listen and meet your needs.
