HFW alone is an XsX killa. I came in my pantz when I heard the flutes in the beginning. I KNEW Horizon was the flagship title they were gonna nail it with. HZD is my favorite game of all time. I love that game and world so much and this just lifted the ceiling. Everyone else is playing catchup from now.

@@aligoogle7532 it's the total package. But the incredibly deep story and gameplay is what sets it apart. It's actually a really grounded story with solid criticism of human civilization and technology and a celebration of nature. When I first played it I was very invested in the game for the first 20 hours, but the story didn't "click". But once I reached a certain point (think it was on top of the tower with Elisabeth and Faro) I knew they were building up to something big. And when I finally got down in the bunker and learned about ZD, my mind was completely blown. I never had imagined such a twist and they revealed it masterfully with maximum impact. I fell in love with the game before that, but after the reveal I knew this was my favourite game of all time. A labour of love with such heart and soul and incredible mechanics and visuals.
HFW will absolutely deliver and I feel HZD was just a warm up. Guerrilla, take your time. I want it now if course, but I'll gladly wait 2 years for them to perfect it.

If you pay close attention, you can see the tropical area is actually San Francisco. They actually have a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge

I think she might have reached San Francisco which is hinted with some of the lettering on the building underwater. (The dragon spirit made me think of China Town.) Also, she crosses a desert (Death Valley?) and a mountainous region (Yellowstone?). You also see a bridge (Golden Gate?) to the left from 2:46-2:51.

I hope John Gonzalez is lead writer for this. He did such an amazing job with the story for Zero Dawn that more of Aloy just has to be more of what comes from his mind.

@@aligoogle7532 "All footage on PS5" means they recorded the HDMI output of a PS5, but the PS5 can be playing pre-rendered cutscenes. They never said anything about "real-time" or "in-engine". Still, I think some of it was gameplay.
The reason for me to get a PS5, this is sufficient.
I figured Miles and ratchet and resident and hitman and Horizon are the only ones to be a giant success and of miles or Ratchet wins insomniac wins big money and that will make so much money we will get new games and i bet once the hype is over they are going to release God of war 2.

As much as I am stoked to get my hands on Spider-man Miles Morales, I am starving for more Horizon Forbidden West. It is still the my favorite game on the PS4, an I’ve played almost every major AAA game for PS4 exclusive out there. I had the same feeling playing that game as I got after seeing Avatar in theaters, the desire want to LIVE in that world. And to this day Aloy is my favorite female character in all of video game history.
Right there with you, still the only game in which I read and listened to every single pick up. The lore for why the world was destroyed and how it was rebuilt was just so enthralling and, just, Aloy's unending curiosity really matched my own feelings as the player
I cried at the ending. I am very nervous about what they are doing with the story direction but I will buy a PS5 for this game alone. She is also my favourite female character, I love how clear-headed she is and how curious and smart she is but in her own special way separate from Elizabet.
I borrowed the game from friend expecting it to be a neat 8.5 outta 10 but one unintentional platinum trophy later and it became a 9.5 in my book . Amazing game

Horizon 2 looks great, but something i didn´t notice the first time watching is that it has some elements that watching this second time made me feel like i was watching a crossover with War of the Worlds from H.G. Wells: the narration, the red plants growing fast and killing everything, the three red "meteorites" falling from the sky just when she says "...to stop what's coming...". Don't get me wrong, i can't wait to play it, i'm just saying it reminded me a lot of War of the Worlds.
Fitting, in retrospect.

I absolutely love watching Horizon fan's reaction! ^^ They hope the trailer is about Horizon and as soon as they hear Aloy's voice or recognize the theme song, it's like a dream becoming true =). And then Guerilla offer us that great trailer which is really satisfying for any fan. So happy about this franchise becoming so popular =)

So these machines are taking appearances that refer to actual animals. We got a turtle, an elephant, a boar, and some type of bird. Now think about all the other animals. And think about the cauldrons we can discover and override them. Maybe you can mount machines who can fly. Maybe Nil can join the kill if there’s more bandits. I’m probably wrong on a lot of things but this is fun to imagine.

During the beginning of this and the beginning of the Demon's Souls trailers I was shouting "ANNOUNCE GOD OF WAR YOU COWARDS!" This is a good consolation prize though.
The alligators were so hard to kill in the 1st game. I'm absolutely terrified at the possibility of having to fight them in the water

Snapmaw is weak to fire. So fire arrow and then some blast sling or hard point arrow will do the job.

@ Horizon 2 would just get overshadowed by BotW 2 lol. I do hope both Sequels borrow from the other game's prequel though. So Horizon 2 should add climbing(hinted at in the trailer) and BotW 2 needs better story and side characters like Horizon.

@@Kingsnorelax yeah it kind of was. I don't doubt it was a good game but BotW was so good when it came to the open world part that it made it hard for me and other people to get into other open worlds. So I hope Horizon 2 includes climbing better traversal.
@@sonymicronin It was an excellent game. You got to remember, the developers are mostly known for Killzone, a FPS series. To make a giant leap to an open world Semi rpg/ action/adventure and produce a quality result, i cant wait to see the next game. Also Kojima borrowed the engine for Death stranding.
PC most likely a few years down the line or could even happen in a few months as to force people to play it on PS5 first.
Okay so this game has 100% convinced me to make the move from shitty Xbox to ps5.

I think part of it is they don't want to distract the viewers. So they hold back best they can. Even when allies make jokes, you can see someone laugh off mic or try to hold it in, as to keep the stream from being hard to hear.

I think you're the only person on the planet to say this is boring. How do I know? I have watched about 100 video's from Sony, IGN, Gamespot, etc,etc,etc,etc and then ALL the video reaction videos and ALL the comments of all of them. Literally 99.999% of the people, JUST like me are completely in awe, mind blown, incredibly excited to ever get their hands on this game. This trailer was incredible. The sound was absolutely fantastic greatly accompanying the incredible shots.
