The AMD CCDs are meant to be used in servers, where the packages can have up to twelve of them. The link still has to work over the longest distance so moving them closer on a Ryzen CPU doesn't make much of a difference. Direct inter-CCD communication would be going backwards to Zen 1. They should add L2 cache so there are fewer victims to push into L3

Zen 5 is getting a new ladder cache that will improve latency.
That jacket looks very cozy.
how badly need intel to fuck up arrow lake if they going from 10nm to 3nm and its not gonna be a a huge improvement. On paper that node shift is monumental.
Are they just gonna go for a small increase and only focus on efficiency or what
They do what you said, and I'd like to see how they cool the things, or are they going to convince the world that 115c is normal too? I think they are screwed.
Zen 6 will be tiles with cache on top so will look and behave like monolithic and fix the amd latency issue. also Zen 5 is out of sequence with intel so if it launches on time like zen 3 should have 12 months of dominance before Intel come back at them.
How you make the super chip is have a monolithic chip with stacked cache that has an IF link (or two) to tack on the ZenC cores for the multithread that really doesn't even need to be on consumer socket anyway because it just leads to HEDT pricing without the features that made HEDT worth it. #BringbackHEDT
a quick bulleted outline and basic editing would go a long way on videos like these
What part confuses you?
Intel sucks down insane amounts of power - that's the big difference...
Bruh, that is the main change in the new intel. 😂 From meteor lake they are getting into new architecture.
@@yuvanraj2271 Lets bring that up again when it matters.
Framechasers is an Intel fanboy. That AMdip is only in his mind or he intentionally makes it happen.
cores discuss thru cache, it's called cache snooping
everything is about of cache coherency
I stopped at Alder Lake mopped the floor with AMD.
Paul your a human static electricity generator with that fleece sweater! You should not handle a raw cpu lol.
As an Intel user, Intel is finished AF*
Unless prices are lower I'll stick with Intel at the i3 i5 level
No problem, the world also needs some dumb*sses !
"Will Amds Zen 5 Destory Intel" 14th gen Raptor Lake refresh? Definitely... 15th gen Arrow Lake... I doubt.
Performance relative to manufacturing cost will likely be much better, but consumers likely won't see much of a difference in value per dollar, at least between a lot of CPUs from each brand. Each CPU will have some pros and cons vs. the nearest equivalents from the other brand, most likely.
Why are Intel and AMD CPUs like gay lovers?
Answer: Because they trade blows
@@syncmonism But also define "destroys"... in performance I think 15th gen will win, in power consumption and efficiency Zen 5.
LOL ! Just except it ! After Zen-6 it will be ALL GAME OVER for Intel !!!
@@gertjanvandermeij4265 HAHA no it won't. AMD may win but then Intel will take back... it's called competition.
Never count Intel out. They have the technology to create a L3 cache as big as AMD. So it becomes a question of price vs performance of the next generation. Hope Intel adds an HEDT processor to their list, then AMD might release a threadripper non-pro to compete.
YES DO count Intel out ! It is clearly all GAME OVER for them ! Specially on the server market ! AMD EPYC is gonna RULE the world !
Dude Paul I think you blocked me on discord. Just wanted to clarify -- when I said you were funny, I meant I love the humor on your videos, not that your conclusions were funny. In fact, your new channel plays on that humor and that is f*cking great! Anyway. You taught me a lot about GPUs. Wish you success!
'DeStory' about AMD Zen 5 is true 😉
Intel is more expensive and uses 50% more energy for 5% more performance though! I'm not going to buy a new CPU because it has 20 extra threads I'll never use either.
I see Intel as price competitive in this generation. A lot of models are less expensive. I do agree that, in CPU intensive uses, they use a lot more energy but most of the time the cpu isn't being pushed and the energy they use is the same or less than AMD. This is coming from someone who only bought AMD, during the AM4 era.
At least fix your punctuation error 😂
I run my Ryzen 9 5900x stock which is rated at 4.8hgz max but 6 cores reach 4.950ghz. Some free performance which i must be honest i can't fucking notice.
No.

This guy confuses himself so much
Another video not worth watching only skippin through. Paul pull ya socks up !
AMD needs X3D to compete with Intel in gaming. I like my CPUs to do everything well, not be a 1 trick pony that won't age well. Intel CPUs are just more fun!
BS. The plain 7950x is neck and neck with 13900k while using a lot less energy.
@tstager1978 I'm sorry, friend, but you are terribly misinformed. 7950x is on par with a 12900k but is 15%+ slower than a 13900k. A tuned 13900k will increase that margin by another 10%+. Even 7950x3d/7800x3d are only ~3% faster than a stock 13900k and tend to fall behind in heavy RayTracing games and games that prefer lower latency, high bandwidth memory, or clockspeed. Intel CPUs have always been superior for gaming. ArrowLake will be interesting to see if Intel can maintain that trend when using chiplets.
@@jjlw2378 Bruh they literally use 50% more power for 5% more performance.
@proprietarycurez8463 So you mean using 70w for gaming on an overclocked 13900k is too much power for you? My 13900k uses between 60-90w while gaming. 5.8p/4.5e/5.0ring
@@jjlw2378 OK buddy. We believe you.

So basically half the whole video you summarized chip release history from zen 1. Very unnecessary.
So basically you just summarized half the video. Very unnecessary.
whatever they offer their competition will slaughter for $50 to $100 extra. AMD is washed 😢 🪦⚰️💐! unless they cut all their prices in half.
Ok. AMD chips don't get bogged down by desktop work. AMD makes a better chip right now unless your an Intel fanboy. Arrow lake may be a different story but it will be up against zen 6 so we'll see.
@@tstager1978 you see the guy in this video, now he's one of the top AMD shills! and even he says Intel is faster. also Nvidia is faster. Nvidia beats amd in every single aspect of gaming, and production. I buy amd because of it's price to performance. now their prices are just as expensive as the competition, leaving no reason to invest in their eco system
