This minister deserves to be fired. As a minister of defence he has proven he has no idea of the UN Convention Against Torture to which Ghana is signatory. He as minister should understand that this is a shameful precedent set: some military officers sit in their barracks and decide let's go and torture and unlawfully detain people.... what the prevents them from coming into Joy news studios and taking you for questioning their acts

No matter what, military are not law enforcement agencies unless the police invites them in certain cases. This minister should take time with his language.

Why should the police even invite them to enforce laws? Are they law enforcement officers?

If a minister of a state could condone and back civilian brutality , where lies the powers of rule of law

Absolutely nonsense. Undisciplined military force in Ghana. This lawlessness happens every year and these useless military leaders come out to apologize all the time. Why aren't they dismissing these low IQ military men who commit these crimes?

Their morally grandstanding posture in condemning the late Pres. J. J Rawlings acts with his men when he first came to power, beats my mind to this day.

This is bad, how can a minister talk this way. This government is full of unintelligent people. The act was wrong condemn it totally don’t play around it. The victims must sue the military and the government.
    They must be compensated.
Deplore under cover agents to fish out the killers, don’t send the entire military there to brutalize innocent people.
    This should never happen again.

The law is the law, if you don’t uphold and live by it, how do you expect me to?Plus honorable keeps saying the military is under attack, that’s not true, a man in a military uniform was attacked and killed, tragic, the perpetrators must be found and dealt with asap, but beating and traumatizing innocent civilians isn’t the answer. If anything, the MPs (military police) are the ones to handle this.
Deal is we must respect the men in uniform, fearing them isn’t part of the deal, it’s that “FEAR” of them that fuel these inhumane attacks.
    Respectfully my humble opinion

Bush boy. Does that mean the military should go and take the law into their own hands? You villager.
