    Hi coach, can you make a video on how female players handle with periods during their match? Most requested because no one speaks about it! Thank you!!😊

      Thanks! You are the first one to have asked for that topic which I feel is very important. I’ve already discussed it with my team... hopefully we could get to it sooner... thank you!! 😁🏸

    Coach will the movement towards the front court forehand differs with different coaching. Please correct me if I am wrong, I was taught to go right-left-right by my coach.

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 роки тому +3

      First things first, different coaches will have different ways of coaching even down to the footwork. I will not say that I am always right but you as a player should listen to different coaches and pick what works or makes sense to you. The basic footwork i taught for the front is composed of 2 steps, starting with ur non dominant leg and ending with your dominant leg as you hit. That is assuming you are coming from the middle and its exactly on the corner and you have that medium height. If the shuttle is close to you, it is better to just take it and maybe you dont need to move or maybe 1 step of the dominant leg will do. So it really depends on the situation, where you are running from. I would stick to my 2 steps and if the shuttle is still far, continue on with a joint step. 😁🏸

    Hi Mam,
    Your badminton ciaching videos very useful.
    How do i improve my front and back footwork on the court?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 роки тому

      Footwork in general can be improved with repetitive practice and your progress can be measured when speed is faster and you can still do footwork and hit the shuttle.... keep practicing. Take a few min to do footwork before you start playing. Use it as your warm up 😁🏸

    Hi coach, can you do me a favour
    I have de quervain's synovitis which happened due to usage of more wrist - i want to know few exercises to solve it other than rest ... I feel so weak : wrist wise
    Can anyone comment if they had the same problem nd overcame it ?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 роки тому

      I haven’t experienced that kind of injury. Is it swollen? It would be best to see a doctor when you’re already tried resting it and icing it after use. Pain in our bodies shouldn’t linger too long and pain shouldn’t progress to more pain. Pls have it checked...

    Small doubt madam
    For the backhand net shot we need to step right leg first or left leg first ?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 роки тому

      If you are right handed you end with your right leg upon hitting the shuttle😁🏸

    Coach I started playing age 60 without proper training.. Can I hire coach to train me?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 роки тому

      It would be good to get a trainer who can feed specific shots you want to practice or hit with you as you learn your way to getting comfortable on court. Warm up well anytime before you play bec. badminton has a lot of sudden movements... enjoy!! 😁😁🏸🏸
