Mellie Pierce Trader Joe‘s as a brand doesn’t exist here in Germany, so I’m pretty sure they cater their products to the American market. The Italian food you get at Aldi (TJ‘s parent company) here in Germany is mostly decent, sometimes even produced by Italian brands for them… pretty sure that’s not the case in the US :)

I have had absolutely terrible food in Italy .. just like I have had terrible food in the states.. also we don’t have a whole lot of time for extensive homemade cooking considering we work 40 + hour work weeks ( my mom works 70 hours, my dad works 90 hours, I work 48 hours) and maybe a 30 minute lunch break ( as opposed to the hour long siesta)... so yeah when I get home from a 12 hour shift on the neurosurgery unit I don’t feel like making myself a whole fancy meal..
