It helps tremendously. I was released from friendships that hurt. I now recognize that I would have continued holding on if it were up to me. So many beautiful changes have happened since the ending of those friendships. I now understand it was and ending to a chapter, but the beginning of a new one. Great advice and perspective.
Thank for sharing this experience. I thought I was the only one this happened to. I had friends who drew away from me, ignoring my calls and messages. I used to reach out to ask if all is ok. One of them got married, invited everyone in our circle of friends except me. Post pandemic, I’m reconnecting in real life with friends I haven’t seen in person for ages. While one was excited to see me, the other was rather cold, distant and making excuses to cut the conversation short but had time to chat with everyone else. When these people draw away, I’m hesitant to ask what’s going on. I leave them
Thank you for sharing your experiences here as well. That is very hurtful to not receive an invite to a friends wedding. Those you are reconnecting with may be better aligned for who you are now. Continue to heal and take care of yourself & pour into those who pour into you.
This was very insightful. Thanks for your vulnerability. Good luck on your healing journey. Navigating friendship breakups can be devastating. It's also something that should be discussed more frequently. 💜

I would have been holding on if it was up to me too honestly. I'm happy to hear that there has been many beautiful changes & many more to come 💫 .
