I feel like Carly auditioned at the wrong age. She's so fabulous and I'm certain she would have won the show now apposed to when she was younger. So beautiful & so talented she is!
I respectfully disagree, the exposure she got was enormous, win or lose, she made it all the way to the finale, she gained a " fan base ", worldwide. If she auditioned now the only show she could try out for is American Idol, and it's not nearly what it used to be, plus nothing is a guarantee. " Winning ", is fleeting, don't get me wrong it seems like the only thing that matters at the time, and I'm sure Carly and her fans, myself included, felt the blues about it. Fortunately, when it's all said and done, winning means absolutely nothing. Her timing was perfect, she couldn't of picked a better time or show to audition for. I'm sure she will have a successful career in the Music Industry, she certainly has the talent and passion for Music, and now she has the " fan base ", and it's growing.

You only have to look at Carly's twitter to get an idea of how many artists and studios are willing to work with her and those are just the ones she can tell us about. I honestly didn't know what to expect of her covering this particular song, as it's a favorite of mine and I'm not used to her singing this genre of music... but I have to say I was pleasently surprised. I think she did a wonderful job and she's grown so much as a musician!
This was a great cover! I have no idea why people are saying you changed the song too much, or you're not singing it the right way, or whatever else. There is no right way. That's the whole point of covering a song. To change it & make it your own to fit your personal style of singing. People complain if someone covers a song & they don't make it their own, & people complain when they don't sing it how it was originally made. Whatever, keep doing you, beautiful voice :)

Absolutely stunning! Recently tried to make a cover for this song myself but obviously I failed because the way you’re feeling the song and expressing every single detail with your angelic voice is just unbelievable🔥 never would be able to compete with this!!
I think she's done a fabulous job! The groove of the song is very RnB and soul influenced and her take on the song does it justice. We're very used to seeing UA-cam covers of only pop hits that when someone belts out one of an Indie / rock song we are taken aback and judge it too harshly. I'm a die hard AM fan - from the FWN era (2nd album) and I can vouch for the fact that AM's sound has evolved and now has RNB and Hip-Hop elements, which the band professes themselves. An R'n'B vocalised rendition sounds close to perfect, really.
This little lady is something else. She has a unique talent to reinterpret songs and invariably improve them. Some haters out there struggling with bullsh** reasons they don't like it.
