真香（zhen xiang） is from a Chinese reality show, it literally means "(food) smells so good", it was said by a spoiled kids from city exchange life with poor kids from countryside. In the show at first he said "I, Wang Jingze, WILL NOT EAT ANYTHING from you even if I die of hunger or jump off the cliff from here!" and then later on he realized the food really smells so good so he eventually ate a lot and said "zhen xiang"（真香） People now use 真香 to describe something they claimed they would never do but ended up loving it in the end.

I really wish I actually put some heart into my Chinese classes back then. Now since Im older it's harder to learn to write even though I can speak dialects and mandarin easily. Keep going at it!!

My future kids definitely aren’t going to grow up like I did, hate being Asian, not eating the food our parents make because it “smells weird”, hopefully when the new generation comes in things change for the better. And one thing is for sure Chinese school, they’ll hate it but will be worth it later.
I think a big reason why they don't look Japanese is because they're half (three of them were born and raised in the US, except for one, who was born in Cuba). Seems their non-Japanese parent's genes took over.

As a native Chinese, I wouldn’t explain 真香 by guilty pleasure. It refers actually to something or someone that is really amazing and attractive. And we often put 了 after 真香。For ex, the Intersection group is 真香了. Another ex, XX movie is 真香了.
