So I've built most all of the walking statues of Waterdeep myself. Used things like 12 to 18 inch tall action figures as armature then added to the already armor looking like armor and made it my own. I've done the Honorable Knight, and I actuality had a friend who is a blacksmith forge the sword for it. I've done Hawkman, Saughun Humbled, The God Catcher, The griffin even. I made the Bone Worm and Stromperstomper. Setting the scene for a robot monster battle
13:59 - As cool a premise as this is, it isn't actually possible within the lore of the Blackstaff itself. The Blackstaff (the wizard) doesn't actually have the power to animate or control the walking statues, the Blackstaff (the staff) and Khelben's spirit within it are who has that power. Thus, unless a thief of the Blackstaff somehow managed to completely overpower the unique sentience within the Blackstaff, that would be possible, especially since the Blackstaff can break its attunement to any wielder it has at any time for any reason. So the likeliest situation where such a scenario was to happen would actually be if the Blackstaff (the staff) itself was to somehow be corrupted with a great, destructive evil.
"I don't think the walking statues could actually fly" - even though the griffon flew itself onto the mountain. But it makes sense that their flying magic might be expired.
whatever chris perkins is getting paid it's not enough. good job man. appreciate it all.

Love that Greg referenced Buck Rogers when Chris spoke about the Hawkman statue (rather than either Flash Gordon or DC's Thanagarians) 🤓

One person disliked this video after being stepped on by one of the Walking Statues.

How much would we have to raise on Kickstarter to have Chris take a break from Wizards and cover all of the Forgotten Realms lore in podcast form?
Real. Talk.
No offense to Chris Perkins, but I would rather kick in and listen to Ed Greenwood, the creator of Forgotten Realms
Ooo, how about both?
Now that would be bloody awesome
Given how long he’s worked on D&D, Perkins might know more than even Greenwood
IMAGINE CASTING ENLARGE ON ONE OF THESE 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Maztica foreshadowing...
We haven't had any further maztica leads/ plot right ?
