    I'm 71 and writing this in late February 2023. I have been watching your videos for the last 3 months. I had not played a round since October. I went out this last Sunday and played my first round of the year and shot a 73 (3 over par) using this swing that I have practiced for the last 3 months . It just felt so natural and normal . Thanks for your instructions.

    Thanks again for the free video; "training your body" is one of the most overlooked ideas in practice. One would think the finish position doesn't have anything to do with how you hit the ball because it occurs after impact. But once the "inner golfer" KNOWS the position in which you want to finish it will automatically make adjustments on the way down, hopefully adjustments that provide better impact. The other thing is with the SP swing (in my layman's opinion) people overswing and sway too much off the ball in the backswing and then don't get forward enough in the downswing because they don't "hit their stops". Bracing (with inner rotation) the trail leg (back stop) and then insuring I push and turn my pelvis until I hit the forward stop before my downswing has, when I can do it, made a WORLD of difference in my impact. After the shot I always feel I swung too quickly (the stops took milliseconds) but it works out well.

    Priceless!! Its been so hard for me to hold that finished. I've always had the tendency Since switching of pulling out of the shot going back to my old conventional Style straightening left leg and then coming over the top. So much to think about. I'd love to see a video on your interpretation of what's going on for the Buckle Sit slide bump.👍🏽

    Good tip and true about shorten the backswing. I actually got the ball further with my short backswing as this alow me to generate more speed through impact till finish position...
    For most if people if backswing is very long then tend to slower their downswing at the moment of impact... This is what I have experience myself. Hope I'm correct.

    I’m really glad I came across your videos!! I do have one question. I see a lot of your videos are with a driver or irons. Do you have any full wedge shot videos? Im curious how this swing translates to shorter clubs.

      I’m curious if the lie angles for the irons need to be upright for this swing. Do you know?

    • @chadillac1127
      @chadillac1127 Рік тому

      @@bloatedsodium7301 that depends. Lie angle is all about impact and not how you set up so getting fit would be the only way to know.

    Quick question, what flexed shaft do you use and weight? I know you use the red ventus

    Hey Todd love the videos. Also really enjoying the alignment and ball position trainer I just received. Was wondering what your thoughts are on single length irons and how they fit the single plane swing. I've got a set of the Cobras and wondered if there were any adjustments needed. Maybe an idea for a future video? Thanks again!

      You need above average swing speed to benefit from Single Length clubs. Logically, if you have average swing speeds, the only clubs that might be of value (single Length) is the (5 maybe) 6,7,8,9 iron. You will need longer hybrids, woods, driver for distance and you will want shorter wedges for control. Having 4 or 5 single lengths clubs just doesn't make a big difference. I just produces a limitation. So, as you can tell, I am not a fan of single length. Good idea for a future video.

    Great vid! Im a member and I know this sounds odd. I have a takeaway problem where I snatch it inside. I'm starting to put it further than 6 inches so I just fold my right arm and then go. What do you think of that?

    Ive been using your single plane swing for a month now. Ive gotten pretty consistent at making good contact. Is it normal to hit fades with driver and other longer clubs? I may be addressing to much on heel behind ball

    Seems like I’m able to leverage the club with the single plain swing. I couldn’t do with the regular swing.

    I'm trying to figure out if I should flatten my ping standard iron lies or make them more upright. Help por favor. I have been working on switching my swing to you (and Moe's) single plane method.C Mike Myers

      That’s what I would like to know too. If I’m doing a single plane, wouldn’t my lie angles have to be more upright?

    I think I have too short a backswing, shorter than Tony Finau or Jon Rahm. I've been trying to count to 3 or 4 to myself to lengthen my backswing a little bit. Can your backswing be too short? I do have physical deficiencies with two shoulder surgeries and neck fusion surgery. Even with those deficiencies I can still get the ball out to the 270 yard distance sometimes.
