Once you set it, it will automatically run until manually disabled from remote.

Hi In my LG AC i have air purification mode(ionizer), could you explain this. And is there any filter for that to clean?

Panasonic AC has a clean feature which is works totally opposite. So I got confused when I bought another LG AC. In Panasonic, the outdoor unit runs for 15 minutes with the indoor fan switched off. This causes ice to form inside the evaporator coils and later on when the fan turns on, this ice condenses into water and removes all the dirt settled in the coils.
So that is freeze wash as explained in my Samsung video...

For a Bluestar AC (BI-3CNHW12MAFU), for which I have lost the manual, the only way I am able to run the auto clean is as follows: I first need to turn the AC off with the power button. Anytime during the 30 seconds or so that the AC remains on, I press the Auto-clean button. Then the "Cl" symbol comes up on the remote (but not on the AC) and the temperature resets to 25 C. However it still remains in cooling mode. I often get damp unpleasant smell during this period which last for about 15 to 20 mins.

Yes. It turns off after about 20 min.

its a different function, what it does is clean and dry the fins and stuff that are unreachable or otherwise...
filters that can be taken out and washed are good , but this is about the unit itself
