You got some pretty nice ones in that box!! The one oblong one you thought might be a bellenite, I noticed it's tapered at both ends. I've seen sea urchins of present day that have thick heavy spines that are a bit narrower, but not much. And your piece has a ring around one end like the spines I'm talking about on the urchins. Might Google it on line and see! 🤔. We find shells 🐚 and clam shells once in a while. Have found crinoids quite common on the gravel roads. Love the bisected amonite!! I have a couple , one is about 3in across & polished like yours. The other is about 2in across and natural, with the rings around the shell. Every thing looks pretty cool!! My favourites are the Agate and the Ammonite! 😍 Loved the close up shots of each piece, Sweetheart. This box will definitely be a nice Christmas gift for kids (or even adults) who are starting their hobby in fossils. 🥰

Just found this channel! Fossils are absolutely fascinating, it's an amazing glimpse into how animals, plants fungi etc lived many, many years ago.

6:07 its basically when a shell dies it slightly opens and sand gets inside it after a few years the outer shell brakes off exposing the fossilized / hardened sand.
