Join me as I step through all 248 games that I believe were released for the Nintendo Entertainment System here in the UK.

This is an incredible collection - one omission that stood out to me on a first viewing is that I believe Robocop 3 was a PAL release also

Me and Ben Carey were the only people interested in the nes in our junior school! We used to meet up at break and talk about getting the turtles pack! He got his and sadly I didn't but a year later got my Amiga and a year after that I got my snes so win win! Good video Stu

It was interesting seeing, or not seeing, games that didn't make a PAL release. Oh, and watching the subtitles trying to keep up with you was fun too. "Dark Ring Duck" and "Freaking I Even Iron Man Stuart" were my favourite closed caption goofs 🤣
Yeah i guess a few that people assume would be there, as i say its just my thoughts as i struggled to find any definitive list tbh, yeah the old YT captions lol
Nice collection there mate. I have a different version of the code asters Dizzy. Looks a lot like the Game Genie where yours is more of a cart. Interesting as didn't know they did that.

Fair play though Stu it’s impressive how you manage to keep track of it all, any other full sets coming up, everyone shouts about the WiiU being cheap and easy at mo.
well i wanted to keep it concise as its more a ref vid than an talk about collection, no i act the goat at work also.
Highly unlikely i dont have space for stuff i really want let alone a boat load of wiiU games, unless i get more space ;)

I was expecting to see the Codemasters plug_thru games in there too.... maybe they were hiding behind all the green spines xbox games in the collection 😉👍
Cheers Rodge, well id get them sooner rather than later as they arent getting any cheaper, the plug thus are here but they are just variants of the black carts so no point imho
nice one buddy and a great video as a reference point. I don't know if I ever told you but when you did this for the master system it's what made me decide to start collecting. yeah I have you to thank for that 😂. Bet I've watched that video 20 times now.

brilliant collection where is the best place to get the nes games and what are the best games for this system as I have only just started collecting for it also is the nes arcade stick any good

Retro Collect doesn’t have Aladdin NES listed as having a UK release. They only have Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands and Scandinavia versions listed.
Retro Collect has ‘Alpha Mission’ listed as having a UK release
Yeah alpha mission has a UKV release and aladdin defo has a UKV release as im looking at it lol, Retro collect is a great starting point but sadly its not been updated in years.

Im not even sure which are UK PAL exclusives i know there are some PAL exclusives like U FOR Uria which is supposed to be excellent
Nice collection! Always weird to see the little differences in titles/labels/artwork between PAL and NA games. I got the same plastic cases on all my NES carts too!

Yeah i always see the NA set as having everything in it when we did have some exclusives over here.
Awesome mate. It was interesting just seeing what actually came out in the UK. My memory of what was out is spotty at best. I knew there was a Turrican game only because I almost bought it back then but ultimately went for Mega Man 3. Unfortunately due to my age I wasn't able to get many games for my NES.
Yeah i did have to scout around, there are many games people think now got a UK release but they actually didnt, it might not be 100% accurate so its just my shot at it.
Oh for sure first party NES games like now very rarely if ever came down in price BITD

@@tootyuk there are only a handful of them. The only difference with PAL imports have a sticker on them saying they 'have been converted for pal.' Believd they have a few pins swapped inside , but they are the same as USA games.

Great video mate. Im 60 games into my UK pal NES collection. At this point ebay seems the only way to go, trade shops and car boots never seem to have anything special.

Hi, Not sure how you're classing as full UK release. I've started on this journey and am going on PAL A releases which specifically have the code NES-XX-GBR or NES-XX-UKV on front. There are two which you may be interested in looking for. Anticipation which was a US game but was released on PAL A as NES-AP-GBR also Ice Hockey which was predominantly PAL B however there is a PAL A version on ebay NES-HY-GBR. It's over £300 so I'm not getting as I have a PAL B version at the moment and a modded Nes.

Yeah its defo more niche in the UK than some folk realise, perhaps a north/south divide as SMS was far more popular
Yet another great achievement in your collecting career, the nes seems to be a very tricky one to get right because of all the games from different regions, I'm sure you'll have cracked it.
Personally speaking I have zero nostalgia for the nes as in from bitd but I've always enjoyed adding things here and there myself over the years when I was in the market, there's definitely something very special about it, some of the box art is gorgeous and very smart, plenty of iconic games too.
You'll have to do an update with your consoles and accessories one day?

Major achievement mate. I know it’s not over though as you will always be adding boxes and manuals as you come across them. Are there other systems you going for full sets on or are you avoiding those rabbit holes! Lol.

I deeply regret selling my NES game collection. I had somewhere between 40 and 50 complete in box (one or two were duplicates) in very good condition that I sold just before the pandemic for £1200... I've come close to shedding tears thinking about them recently... 😢

Truly impressive mate. For a console that allegedly didn't have a great run in the UK. This is an epic collection to get with so many CIB as well. I first played an NES in 1991 and never looked back. The games were always readily available and I had enough mates with an NES to swap game with to make sure we all played enough of the classics.

@@tootyuk I think it picked up a little late steam when prices dropped abit when the mega drive and snes came out. 91-93 time. Good for under 10s like me at the time picking up stuff on the second hand market for reasonable prices with pocket money.
