Long-time fan here :) I was listening to your podcast the other day about doing a Masters program, how expensive it is, the work of it all, etc. and I'm really glad you brought it up in this video again. I'm currently about to start my second year of a Master's program and I CANNOT stress this enough... don't rush into it !! Those programs will always be there but it really all depends on how you go about doing it. I took a year to work in between my grad and undergrad and I'm so happy I did because taking myself out of the academic world for a hot second made me realize where I was and what I wanted/didn't want. At that time in my life I didn't know whether to continue doing school or to just take a break from it, but I'm so happy I did. Obviously people are different and each program is as well, but that was just my experience. I love the work I'm doing know and I feel like I appreciate it more. ALSO... on the topic of grad expenses (and there are plenty)... GO GET THOSE FELLOWSHIPS/SCHOLARSHIPS/ASSISTANTSHIPS. I can only really speak for myself since I study in the States, but the programs here ARE NOT CHEAP. However, many grad programs offer positions or fellowships (which aren't really offered as much to undergrads) that can help pay for most if not all of your tuition, where the only other struggle is really just paying for your living expenses. Plus, it's great to have said scholarship on your resume! Again, every program is different but these opportunities are out there!
