you should defiantly take it to us at sccon to a auto solo or auto test if its not a road legal car as auto solo is for road cars auto test is non legal cars its loads of fun i compete. decent little track car. they aren't the most tuneable cars out there but they are pretty cheap and with it all striped out i bet it would be alot of fun. I'm tempted to do a track day in my Micra im sort of on edge about it but hopefully i can join you one day on track. my mum used to have one of these lol when it was brand new but it wasnt a st and it was a purple one not too many purple cars about now. these are just some suggestions on parts obviously don't have to do them all at once all at all as for the exhaust system you could get a sports cat and a cat back that will make it sound better without breaking the rules on sound. cold air induction you might get a better sound with also better throttle response and better performance if you do it right as for the interior you probabbly want bucket seats a harness and probably a small diameter steering wheel as you mentioned maybe a roll cage. as for tuning parts your want to focus on handling like i have been doing. upgrading suspension parts, struts, anti roll bar and wider wheels that fit wider tyres maybe you can then get some fender flares to tidy up the wheel gap and so it can pass a mot.
@jayfrosvlogs don't worry, we've already got things planned. And actually they can be tuned quite well, and you can even build the engine and get around 280-300bhp out of them on an N/A engine from what I've read.

Out of the box it should still be a great track car If its full track strip everything the dash all the door cards sell them off that should remove the weight and give you some money for parts and you can go from there. Tbh slower cars on track are more rewarding I've heard hitting 100mph would feel better in that then a phorche. Those and a clio 172 are proabbly the best cheap track cars
