- The family of award-winning artist Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes has left the rapper's home for his private funeral ceremony. Newzroom Afrika's Linda Mnisi captured the moment as the family departed.

Memorial service was enough for us really, we saw them laugh and cry at the same time, us included...now it's time where we need to let them be real without all the cameras and attention of the whole SA.

Indeed sis,that memorial made me feel like I was there,like I went somewhere and come back...I was satisfied,fulfilled,happy and sad at the same time. I've cried myself out and didn't care whether he pushed her or not...just for who he was??that was enough for me to mourn the way I did. Heartbreaking, beautiful send-off. The whole nation is grieving with his family. As for the guy who pulled that trigger, you took away a father from his daughter, a son from his mother and a great musician from the nation. Wherever you are if you see this just know when you die, not even your house mouse or dog will grieve for you.
What's even saddest is that even the money he was paid is gone now... he may have jumped at the order because he was brave. He's a hit man... he has no soul, but since he killed Kiernan, I have to believe he isn't the same. The conscience doesn't play.... The whole nation's tears are on him, and he will never have rest 😢

If you have buried anyone close this day becomes the most difficult day in anybody life. This is your last goodbye, you see them in the coffin laying there like they would just wake up……I buried my father…he was a single parent and till this day I can not attend a funeral 😭 it feels like I’m laying him to rest all over again. Nobody look cute today…you loss yourself especially when that coffin goes down.
