Hello Brother, just one question on step 4. How did you get this value --> --os=windows-10-x64-byol . I am asking this since I need to migrate Ubuntu and centos and few windows 2012
Thanks for awesome explanation....can I exactly migrate VM from AWS to GCP......If yes , then how VM export to OVF or OVA in AWS console like Vmware Workstation did ?
cant connect with RDP. Followed video exactly and instance starts and gives me external ip address, but RDP wont connect. Any Ideas what might be wrong? Did I miss something. Thanks for the guide.
I would confirm that : The VM you started with allows you to connect via RDP with the exact userid+password you are trying to use to connect to the cloud version. Then I would move on to the things that google mention in their "Troubleshootin RDP" document at cloud.google.com/compute/docs/troubleshooting/troubleshooting-rdp
" Windows VM instances are not included with the free trial. To use them, first enable billing on your account. You'll still be able to apply your free trial credits to eligible products and services"
Hi, i am receiving following error at step 4 (gcloud compute instances import gcpinstanename --os=windows-10-x64-byol). Error is: ERROR: (gcloud.compute.instances.import) FAILED_PRECONDITION: generic::failed_precondition: no concurrent builds quota available to create builds Do you have any idea what could have caused this ? Thanks in advance !
It works perfect, I just want to add that you can add specify custom settings for CPU and Memory --custom-cpu=12 --custom-memory=32768MB

What's the cost of this from Google?
