- I made this video because this is my first white kit and while I'm always happy to dive into something new head first, not everyone is. So I thought I'd film myself putting the kit together in case anyone in UA-cam Land is a little unsure and would have more confidence in trying something after they've watched someone else do it.
Thanks! This video was awesome! I’ve had my pioneer white kit for six months now, and looked at all the parts with no instructions provided, and I sat there dumbfounded! Your video gives me step-by-step instructions on what to do and very straightforward. Thank you, thank you thank you!
Definitely get yourself a replacement guide though, the supplied one isn't great; www.pendleslotracing.co.uk/sloting-plus-universal-standard-guide-rks.html
Awesome video!
Dave using instructions
The worlds gone mad 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done buddy 👍👍👍
Great work! I gotta get a few of those. Thanks for showing how straightforward the assembly is. Looking forward to the build of the body!
Another sublimely entertaining video packed with very useful tips and tricks. Thanks, as always :) I've done a few 'white kits' but always with adjustable aluminum wheels and crowns with grub screw fixings and so full marks for the bravery and confidence in terms of trusting Pioneer's 'measurements' in terms of the squirts of superglue before you know things are nicely lined up. Fortune favours the brave :)
Oh come on Dave that was not nice stopping there. 😂 good video lot of good info in this. Thank you for sharing
When painting then my experience would be to use a good primer. Tamiya does a good product in cans and if you want to airbrush at around 20 psi then 1:1 thinned Mr Color Primer is an excellent choice. Remember to use white for whites and light colours and black for the darker as this will affect the brightness of the overcoat. Mr Color even does pink primer which is excellent for the yellow/orange and red spectrum. Otherwise, of you intend to clear coat then I would recommend using a matt of flat finished top coat. To be continured ......
Oh it's painted😎
Very intuitive video, nice job Dave
Great video Dave 😎👍🏼. I sometimes try and get white kits, just to make my cars more individual, but some of them can be fiddly 🤦🏼😅
Well done Dave very informative and with NO COFFEE lol 🤣🤣🤣
We had a lot of coffee and a lot of Mr Thumbsupman so I'm giving those tropes a short rest 🙃
Great video, great kits. Built one of the Ford Legends and did the Camaro in the Mark Donohue Penske livery. Swap out the guide with a Professor Motor version and ditch all the messy wiring harness with my own leads. Cheers!
I went with the sloting plus guide as it is my go to guide for most cars now, I've kept the loom because the reason for building it also means it needs to work on carrera and scalextric digital as well as analogue so keeping the DPR door standard in this instance :)
@slotr Got it. Yes, I run analog only so that's the reason I ditch the Pioneer set up. Love the Legends! Still need to find that black and gold #13 car.😁
Love these cars
Nice video, I will have to get a white kit as well. It looks like a fun kit to build
