Thanks fella, I've just bought one of these second hand and I wanted to see if I could do it on my own as i still haven't convinced my other half to come camping with me! 🤣
if you peg out each pole section separate its easier than trying to pull the lot up on the guy ropes,get some spare pole sections too ,iv managed to snap a few🤣
yea you got a point, theres a lot of tension going on them ropes, i did set off to read the instructions but only got as far as it needs 2 people to set it up,it works though🤣
Not so easy doing it on your own. I have the Vango Osiris 500 which is very similar to the Icarus and can pitch it by myself. One tip I’ve learned is to lay it flat and peg down the 4 corners to stop the wind blowing it while you’re putting the poles through.
