tHIS CARD IS GORGEOUS. I thought the paper would be too dark but its not. Tiny gold butterflies in the same color as the gold splatters is genius.

Amy you probably know this, but I’ve used the water brush with water in it. The WC teacher I had said leave the water in…well, it stopped working. I live in hard water area and thought that was the problem.. nope, it’s mold! So there are UA-cam videos out there, but you disassemble the pens take the fibers out, put in a bleach and water solution. Try to scrub the water holder part, dry and reassemble. Moral of the story for me is not to leave the water in the pen after you finish painting. BTW I’m always insecure painting on Kraft! Thanks for showing the distress oxide, it’s so much brighter I guess because it has the combo dye/pigment. 😂
I use distilled water in my water brushes and spray bottles and have mentioned it many times in videos - for this very reason. I've never had an issue and have had distilled water in them for YEARS now that I just keep refilling and have never needed to empty or clean them

hope you were able to just stamp them separately and adhere them on top - that's what I do!!

Amy love this card! But question? You say you used watercolor pencils and to watch it sure looked like paints with a aqua brush?? And I have the vellum on my list for Create so save some for me!!
I linked to the playlist at the end of this video - first video in that playlist shows how I sharpened the watercolor pencils and created this palette with the shavings. So yup all I have to do is swirl my little water brush in the wells and paint with them and I MUCH prefer using them this way!

Amy is it possible to make your own gold vellum by ink dragging with metallic ink on regular vellum? Have you ever tried it?
nope and I won't - metallic inks take forever to dry on just regular card stock and will take even longer on vellum. It won't look the same either. Doesn't mean you can't try it - I just find it easier to order it :)

Hey Amy, I also like to heat emboss my images before I color them to keep my images from smearing, but I have issues with the embossing powder leaving spots on my images and the color won't lay down. Like when I use white or clear embossing powder and try to watercolor over it, i have white spots of cardstock in my images where the embossing powder set over my image even though I use my powder tool liberally. Any suggestions? Do you have this issue too? I love the shine of heat embossing, but I want my images to be fully covered with pigment without spots.
using an anti-static powder tool, and then tapping off the excess, tilt the card stock in the light before heating and remove any excess bits with a small dry paintbrush. That said I just go with it if there's spots here and there that I missed and got embossed and are repelling whatever I'm coloring with - perfection is overrated ;)
