tom you are a good hearted man making a living doing what us trappers do. please make more videos so I can follow in your ways. you got more common sense then most of the new generations of trappers. keep on harvesting, and may your traps always be full.

There is a lot of assholes commenting, this is how this man is making a living, not many people trap nowadays cause the fur prices have dropped so low. It's hard for someone to be a trapper, I'm glad at least somebody wants to keep the business America was built on alive

    • @TheWalrus0608

Not many people trap nowadays because people realize fur is pointless in a modern world and only a vanity item created out of cruelty.

He could make a business that is in any sense usefull. This is not. A "business" has no value in itself.

+Thomas Bode it's a way of life. Not everybody follows your lifestyle of humble bragging and Starbucks. I'll bet if it were a native Indian doing the same thing you'd give a fuck not. Racist.

James Parvin "a way of life" is a mindless platitude people use to justify poor behavior

+the chemtrail kid you're right. These beaver's way of life and bad behavior are what justify their management. Can't allow their platitudes.

Love the vids. brings back good memory's on the trap-line As a young buck i used to trap with an old trapper back in the 60,s Had about 20 miles on a trapline. Check the upper side one day and then the other the next. The ranchers let us use an old homestead to stay in way back in the country. Used to make a little more by firing up the colman lantern and walking the creek to shoot porkey pines to sell the gard hair. Fond memory's.

It was good talking with you on the phone today and I look forward to my traps arriving that I ordered from you at Forin Trapping supply to arrive, (by the way you guys had the best prices I could find). If you ever make it down to southwest Missouri give me a call I'll buy you a cup of coffee.

I learned allot watching you trap, thank you so much for taking the time to teach such a helpful skill. The property I recently purchased has 2 lakes and a pond all of which are completely covered in beaver damage. Well actually, I should say I HAD a 2nd lake until the beavers blocked off the spillway causing water to over run the dirt dam which in turn took it out in a heavy rain thus emptying the complete lake. That was about $10,000 worth of damage in dirt work alone. I've lost over 400 trees due to these rodents and now they have moved to my main lake and are damming up the spillway on that motherfucker. Those little assholes are creating the same exact scenario yet again. My compassion for the animal is at an all time low. I'm ready to battle the beaver. Traps, scent/bait and waders are on order!
