We went in May 2001 and watched this tape over and over about a year leading up to it! What a special time :)
The very video that kickstarted my Disney World journey, how nostalgic....... I still have the video to this day and I always fondly look back on it, I can't think how my life would've been different without my home away from home if my family and I didn't get this vacation planner.
2000 was my first trip to WDW I watched this video several times before we went. It’s so nice to see this video again.
Me too!!! My very first trip to Disney World was in early 2000. I am not kidding when I say that I watched this video every day for two months prior to my trip. It was the best!!! GOD bless!!! 🙏❤️🙏
The year 2000 was a special year for me because I graduated from High School that year
Not only did I graduate but I went to WDW & did our first Disney Cruise
The boy in 16:46 is so funny. It’s also funny when his dad gasps when he says that this t rex pops out at you. I used to rewind that part all the time, and honestly I do sometimes watch this video to fast forward to that part and see it

I was at Disney in 2000! I think I found a tiny fragment of the Horizons building in the background of one photo!
I was there July 5, 2000 when they were tearing it down. It was so odd as a 9 year old seeing a huge building with a giant dark hole in it.
Watched this a million times as a kid and will be part of the leave a legacy forever! OMG CRYING!
Words can't describe how much I miss these times.
I was in the magic Kingdom on December 31st 1999 as then clock struck midnight! It was unbelievable!

I use to have a VHS tape of this I use to watch every day! At 4 years old, I dreamed of going to Disney World and experience everything I saw on that tape! My parents took me to Disney World, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios, and we stayed in one of the themed hotels where we went swimming in one of the outdoor pools!
Still waiting on that cruise ship trip haha.
But oh man. I’ve missed watching this. After I lost it from one of the many moves I’ve had throughout my life, I was afraid I’d never see this again. But I found it!!! My childhood! My dream in vhs tape (now digital) form!!!
I grew up 2 hours from WDW and I’d still watch these VHS tapes they sent to my house on a daily basis

Hard to believe all the different direction they went, so many different things opening and so many different things closing. Almost a different theme park. It's kinda sad because I miss the old park
Which park? Hollywood Studios? I guess you could even say that about Epcot now too. Sadly, the parks change and not always for the better.
@@interactiveWDW all the parks have changed quite a bit you added quite a bit to Fantasyland in mk, Epcot has and is changing quite a bit. You have dino ride is gone and they took out innoventions. They are even changing futureland. They took out the illuminations fireworks. They are adding a ton to it. Hollywood studios they took out the animation area and it's great movie ride and the Osborne lights. They are adding a Mickey ride and already added you story land and star wars and already added the gondola. Animal kingdom added avatar land and took out Minnie camp now the rumor is they are taking out dinorama. And I won't even go into the downtown Disney/ Disney springs but it might have changed more than the parks themselves. I'm going in January so I definitely don't think it's all bad but I'm a person that resists change and the place I love the most has done so much of it
@@michaelharbuck2057 I'm open to change, but the bulk of the changes seem to be made in a way that I would consider substandard to what is expected of imagineering/Disney.
Something else I have been there since it's beginning and I still remember the original mission to the Moon ride. The ride tickets a through e and the first two resorts along with the campground

DisneyQuest, why did they have to get rid of it? I liked some of their video games, especially the Wreck it Ralph video games, can't find them anywhere else, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THEM?
Downtown Disney, first it was Disney Village marketplace, then Downtown, and now Disney Springs, why do they keep changing it's name?
I went when I was 4 yrs old in the year 2000. Now 21 years later I’m taking my one year old in the year 2021 :) a dream of mine to go back and bring my own child!
And I know he won’t remember it, idc about that lol I can always bring him back but I’m so excited to relive it
I remember watching this many times as a kid. That's how I was able to learn about Disney world. The good old days.

This VHS tape is my childhood!!! We went in the year 2000. I’m trying to convince my family to go this year. I keep quoting this video by saying we will be able to say “we went to disney in the year 2020!!”

Which came first and which came last?
+RoadRunnerCoyote16 It is very possible that these are different ones in the same year. It is known to have happened (often) where ones ordered/received early in the year are different than ones ordered near the end. With it being a large celebration for Disney, I would not doubt that there were multiple different versions throughout the year or two (1999, 2000).

It was called that in the 1996 video, but in the 1997 video it was Disney Studios.

I am amazed at how much property Disney has acquired. It looks so contrived and way to mind controlling. Why travel the world when you can take it all in at a Disney resort? Is this Disney's idea of the world of the future?
