Anolog is how I fly all the time. Maybe one day I'll switch it up just cost a lit for dji system when I already have fat sharks. Great Flying and Great Review my friend!!
OMG that's all I had to do to unlock the TBS pro32 Nano? That was soooo frustrating. Great little vtx once I got past that. I actually prefer the IRC Tramp Nano. Great review of the analog version of the Emax BabyHawk. I think it'd be a fun park ripper. Definitely more flight time than my 3" build. Happy flying Albert. 🤓
Glad they got around to the analog version. I love Emax qwads but opted for the Smart 35 from Geprc instead. Gep’s stuff is pretty tight too. Wonder how you’d rate differences in flight characteristics between these two? Thanks for your vids and insight.
Between all the 3.5 inch models other than the Diatone, all the ones with 1404 motors feel very similar with the differences in motor kv making the lower kv ones feel slower but with more flight time.
@@AlbertKimTV Yep, about what I figured. I’m lovin the Smart35 but she’s a tad light with anything less than an 850 4s for my taste. I fly mostly micro/nano multirotors and they all lack the ummph I get from my Emax Hawk5 (my sole 5” qwad). I just ordered my second 5 incher, Geprc’s LXS5 Leopard. I was leaning towards either Diatone’s F5 or a Nazgul Evoque but I’m more drawn to that 5inch Mark3 build design. My hope is it’ll handle similar to Gep’s Dolphin4 which for whatever reason i am most compatible with and is my best flying drone. Hope my hunch pays off. Anyway thanks for the response. Much appreciated.
@@chrisbee5481 I hear analog will be outlawed by enforcing HAM license requirements with huge fines for those who use analog video transmitters without a HAM license.
The TBS VTX does that camera proud. Even though I have DJI quads (all that I built, not BNF), I find I am still flying analog a lot. Prolly just because the majority of what I fly is micro and analog. Offering analog is good because it’s a cheaper entry point and there are advantages in terms of flight time and weight as you point out. Great review. Wondering if there are any good 3.5 inch prop alternatives to the Emax ones. Never have been crazy about that pitch and shape for tuning and efficiency reasons even though they look cool. ;)
What a world we live in when most people enter using digital as their first drone. Thats crazy money just to start off with. I'm glad emax did create this though.
A lot of DJI customers have deep pockets and actually think DJI FPV stuff is "cheap" so really not a big deal for them. They also consider analog stuff to be "junk" and won't spend a penny on it.
I'm so happy about this and right now RDQ has the $150 gift card if you buy it. But even without that I was bummed there wasn't an analog version for people like me who can't afford digital.
Both are great and very similar. I can't tell the difference in the air between the two. I'd say just get which ever one looks better to you or is cheaper in cost.
I just started in the hobby. My first quad was a Mobula 6 so I had to go with analog. But I don't know many newbies who can spend +800$ for their first FPV kit
I have several friends who thought spending $400 on an analog setup was a waste of money. However, weirdly, spending $2000 on a DJI setup was "money well spent" because it's about the quality of the experience. Analog was "junk" they told me. To each their own!

😁
Nice to see an analog version. I'd also love to see SharkByte and ELRS becoming options on more 3 and 3.5" quads in 2022 :-)
😁

Yeah, I learned that trick in a previous Albert video but it was buried as part of a review. Nice little goodies buried all over the place.
Thanks for noticing Frank!

I switched to DJI to fly the DJI version!
@@chrisbee5481 I hear analog will be outlawed by enforcing HAM license requirements with huge fines for those who use analog video transmitters without a HAM license.
That's scary!
Yup, everything you said in the beginning was true for me. Own DJI gear and only buy bnf
I have several friends who were never interested in FPV until the clear image of DJI came out. They think the extra cost is worth it.
👀

HQ makes a 3.5 inch prop. That prop was on the Crux35.
I fly this quad on the HQ 3.5s. They are way better to me.
Great insight. The $100+ jump from analog to digital is not feasible for most folks like myself.
I only get 50 yards with tbs vtx. I changed the antenna and lifted taller than battery I pushed up to max power what else could be a solution?
Awesome flying and review, Albert!!! 😃
A little quad like that with a RunCam Split 4 would be sweet!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks! Will do!
i really like that frame!
😎
Thanks for sharing your Knowledge. Great detailed info.
Glad it was helpful!

Hi albert, im considering in buying this analog version.. would you recommend buying this or GEPRC smart 35 instead? Thankx for your help 🤙🤙
Both are great and very similar. I can't tell the difference in the air between the two. I'd say just get which ever one looks better to you or is cheaper in cost.
@@AlbertKimTV thankx for your response much appriciated bud 🤙🤙 will get the smart 35 just because looks better then
I favor DJI but also have analog goggles for whoops. Wonder if I’d notice better latency with an outdoor analog drone.
Yes, analog has better latency but most people can't tell the difference unless they fly well over 50mph and around objects at close distance.
If you are a top notch racer, analog will feel better. Otherwise, not much to notice.
I built my own analogue version as soon as I could buy the frame on itself
Seems like EMAX just wasted their time on appeasing the analog mob.
👌
Hey Albert- great video as always. I just clicked on your video editor link and “ Sorry- can’t find the page “ pops up.
Thanks. I updated the link... amzn.to/3BE7vDk

I want it 🤭👍👍⭐✌
Did you buy it?
😎
What is the range?
With the FrSky receiver about 500m. I recommend upgrading to ELRS. You can get up to 30km with ELRS, but the battery won't take you nearly that far.
@@AlbertKimTV how to the remote?
Swap the motors for 1505’s and 🙌
Nah, 1606 motors are the 💣
1606 motors are quite nice Frank
Nice model.... buy they will not sell many with base price of $239...... that is a $150 drone at max. Nice review as always Albert.
Almost all models will be priced higher due to the component shortages. Welcome to 2021!
Prices are a lot higher right now.
