John, I just wanted to say that as a guy who has built a few REAL bridges in his day that yours is fantastic. Keep up the great work you nut! Take care of yourself first.
Frankly, I was more surprised that you were so dedicated to bring out 1 episode per day in the first place at the beginning. So I see no problem with slowing down, it's more that I find a "1 video a day" schedule insane for the amount of time you have to put it. So take your time with the episodes and take care :) Also, the bridge looks insane. I never thought that one would be able to create such a beautiful building in ScrapMechanic of all games! So really great work there!
Loving how this bridge came out! The service area is super detailed too! I probably would have gone with some stairs with an “authorized personnel only” sign, but the elevator is a great choice aesthetically!
As always, Astounding builderisations. Inspirational and awesome. Adding the multiplay Monday stuff is a bonus cream 'n cherries on top (with sprinkles). All your builds (in any game) are always excellent. Thank you for all the content.
Found you from Kan Gaming, then found your scrap mechanic series. I love the quality and effort you put into the builds, aesthetics are awesome! Also loving the other series you just started on TerraTech. You are an awesome dude, keep up the good work!
This bridge build was awesome. I particularly liked your attention to detail. The bridge turned out simply awesome. Thank you for providing me with a fun experience.
Hey j0hn I love your vids. but now scrap mechanic has that feel like mining the first tree in Minecraft or starting in raft that great feel to be like I’m going to get progress you have almost everything and watching you from the beginning up to now so much progress wow it’s just wow. You are truly amazing
I'm subbed, with notifications on. Take days off when you need them, and I totally understand the time it takes to grind for mats. I can't speak for everyone else, but if you posted as rarely as once a year, I'd still watch the video!
I feel like this needs to be said. Please don’t listen to the comments because no offense but for some reason the comments on your videos seem to be more stupid than normal UA-cam comments. Just do/play whatever you like, I will watch no matter what and I know a lot of people feel the same
been playing for about a week, but only a total of 9.5 hrs, and the ammount of mats you have had to get to get this far just blows my mind, I am grateful for the vids you and the gang (Shout out to Scrapman, Kan, Moonbo, Cammodo, Durf, and any others Ive forgotten atm) they have been so entertaining and helpful in learning the game, thank you and GJ GG WP!
I'd love to see a clock tower on the entrance to the bridge and some hanging baskets! Maybe a fake chemical storage unit too. Also some warning lights on that power room!
New to your channel and have finally caught up so I can watch new videos when they are posted. Have to say WOW to your farm and base which is looking amazing even in its unfinished state. Putting on top of the hills so no bots can attack is a great idea. As for the bridge that's absolutely beautiful The amount of time your grinding is mind blowing as I've never played this type of game. Now going to watch part 20 of the sub natuica series
i spent over 4 hours just designing a shitty jeep-car, you build an entire bridge.. just freaking awsome stuff. I got my first few items from a warehouse, was thinking to build a modern style bridge, but seeing this.. Your eye for detail and aesthetics is just wow :D
Well J0hn, if you're ever strapped for content I wouldn't mind seeing an uncondensed long build or a video of you just grinding mats (also because grinding mats can be a pain so I'd love to see a bit more of how you go about getting everything you need for such a big build. - It might also remind us just how much work goes into this.)
here's a neat idea for adding crafting of the more rare building parts- what if they add a research bot that eats an amount of a block, and once it gets enough it "learns" how to create that block from more basic parts. Maybe the more rare and somewhat functional parts would be very expensive to unlock or not able to be unlocked even and before anyone says it- yeah pretty much terraria journey mode in scrap mech but only for blocks and also at a crafting cost
This is not a dead series! U know how much work he puts into this! It's literally insane how much effort he goes through just to make a video fro us lazy butts to watch. Thanks for this amazing content JohnBane! Keep it up!
Looks awesome man. Something i just learned may find helpful. At least the basic bots do not (appear to) damage concrete 3 (ive let them hit it for about 15 min straight and not a single block broken). So your pillar on the ground may want to have a layer. Of that so when they come to attack your farms they dont damage your bridge.
Simply beautiful creation! I know I'm really late to ask this but.... did you ever finish this bridge? I am in awe of the creativity you have shown in this bridge. Job very well done!
Really impressive what you're doing, please keep it up. I hope they get the warehouse decryption implemented soon to get the grind for this type of ambitious build to a more manageable level. Myself I've been playing with the cheat mode to decrypt (only after I've defeated and grabbed the loot). I don't think you would do that, seems like you're pretty set on staying pure vanilla, but if you get to the point where you're burning out already, maybe give that a bit of consideration.
JB, you have to get your brain to factor in: "What is the GAME wanting me to build?" as part of what wants to be built. The GAME is telling you how much mats you can get in a certain amount of time, and if your build says I need to be HUGE then you come to these conflicts as the GAME is saying nuh-uh, you can't get that many mats as a single player. Smaller builds are valid--you WOULD still make amazing builds--or when you have someone like Hrothgar feeding you mats then you can exceed what the game wants you to do...
keep going at it. love the vids. I know you said you don't particularly want to use mods, but I highly suggest using the quality of life mods (found somewhere on reddit). I feel that it helps not getting burned out getting mats for everything. I personally only have about 1 hour a day to play so I made crafting recipes to double my output of blocks from the same amount of starting mats.
Have you ever thought about hiding a vehicle under there (like the banemobile) and having a hinge system to access it to where in multiplayer days you have a spot for your valuable stuff and a cool car to hide for fun
This Video was, Long , Perfect , awesome... and made by you! So its obviously getting a like! Real talk tho u seem tired and might need to take a week? Or 2 weeks brake from the internet and from computers in general my guy! Get some sleep, play other games, do some fun stuff for you!
Since the "electrical" piping isn't center just do one down the center and conserve mats tho I do think two looks better.. Perhaps you could separate the pipes by one block and they would be on the either side of the walk way
I like that the blocks in this game are smaller than in minecraft. That makes building intricate designs easier. However, they really need to give more blocks during material collection in order to offset the small size. Having to grind materials for 20+ hours just to build a simple pathway (much less this aesthetically designed bridge) just isn't fun after the 5th time.
Good nah better nah its the best damnn... Bridge but I guse its gana consume a lot of your time ..... But you are really one hell of a hard worker...and your ideas are awesome..
Loving the vids. You def have the most detailed builds and it does give me cool ideas and make.me want to build. What's your thoughts on using warehouse blocks? I don't consider it cheating. It's all.visual. I'd love to see what you can build with those blocks. Edit. I'm using warehouse blocks but don't take blocks like metal, concrete, etc. Things I can make I don't take
knowing how much grinding I have to do for a simple base access bridge I can only imagine how many hours you have had to spend mining and processing resources to build this. This is why I prefer survival builds over creative. There is more of a sense of accomplishment because you had to invest hours in collections of materials. And If you want to kill frames build with the raw tree trunks or stone chunks.
For the draw bridge, to support it from "bending" down, couldn't you have built some support pole under the location of where both bridge parts would meet so there is no possible way of it bending down. I don't think this would be bad for FPS in the long run either since you could keep the bridge up most of the time. Just thought of saying this now and I think you said you were going to try a draw bridge later on.
I like the over all look, but I feel like the cross supports on the legs should have "curved" (or slanted) tops and bottoms where they meet the legs instead of the flat tops and bottoms. Currently they look very square and out of place since you have arches everywhere else.
Solution is easy if you don't want to spend many hours of time grinding for nothing/no reason you can 1) Increase the Gather Rates or 2) Spawn in what you need if it is a creative build. And no it is not cheating if you increase the gather rates for a PVE or single player games because it does not disadvantage anybody else, your are still doing the work it is just taking you less time to complete aka Good Time Management.
If Scrap plans to continue to update survival, these videos could grow your channel fast. They will show up because nobody knows anything about Scrap survival, and you're a good enough player to show folks what they might could do if they had any creative talent. :p
This took about eight hours to record, I thought I had condensed it down to 30 minutes, but its much longer. So yeah, it is what it is.
j0hnbane thanks for the vid god bless you
To be correct the video is 49 and a half minute long :D
Yay a long vid so i have somting to do !!
Best scrap mechanic youtuber...ever!!!
Go exploring plz
John, I just wanted to say that as a guy who has built a few REAL bridges in his day that yours is fantastic. Keep up the great work you nut! Take care of yourself first.

Being an electrician myself, I really appreciate your attention to detail
Frankly, I was more surprised that you were so dedicated to bring out 1 episode per day in the first place at the beginning.

That bridge is a thing of beauty!
One of the seven wonders of Scrap Mechanic Survival 😉
I guess someday we might get to see you build all seven 😊
A bit of a tall order but ok

You inspire me to make original builds... Thanks for that! Keep doing what you're doing!
This bridge build was awesome. I particularly liked your attention to detail. The bridge turned out simply awesome. Thank you for providing me with a fun experience.

Damn right
same bro you do you and how you do it is amazing
While I agree, I don't think there's anything wrong with John's comments compared to the rest of You Tube.

This is the best survival build in all of scrap mechanic.

13:33 j0hnbane "oh yeh oh yeh. Who's the dirty bridge" 😂😂😂😂
I am so impressed with how much work you put into this bridge!!!
This bridge looks freaking amazing! And the details... I totally love it!
Idea! Try making little platforms to make multiple drawbridges to get the drawbridge done
I enjoy these kind of long term projects
Brilliant! Came out very nice looking! Well worth all the work you put into it.
Looks amazing! Great job John!

Man I hope your base will look this good!!
This is actually really interesting to watch. Thanks J0hn!
i think you should change the mesh of the catwalk under the bridge with the punched mesh, it feels more solid
defiantly on to something. great work so fare :)
Simply beautiful creation!
I know I'm really late to ask this but.... did you ever finish this bridge? I am in awe of the creativity you have shown in this bridge.
Job very well done!
Yeeeeey another Scrapmechanic video
You are a great builder keep it up good jOb jOhn
Can't wait for the decrypter update when you have a much larger palette of parts and blocks from the warehouses
Really impressive what you're doing, please keep it up. I hope they get the warehouse decryption implemented soon to get the grind for this type of ambitious build to a more manageable level. Another one ☝️ yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t wear yourself out my dude, if you think you need to take a break take one
keep going at it. love the vids. I know you said you don't particularly want to use mods, but I highly suggest using the quality of life mods (found somewhere on reddit). if I'm ever on the hunt for a "architect", I can stop searching (for now)! lol.
great job, keep going.

Have you ever thought about hiding a vehicle under there (like the banemobile) and having a hinge system to access it to where in multiplayer days you have a spot for your valuable stuff and a cool car to hide for fun
Yep, good work. Time to let it sit for awhile and comeback to it in a few weeks fresh. :)
Another one ☝️ yeah!!!!!!!!
I love your content, your video quality is great, your video quantity is great too.
OMG this guy deserve more recognition.
Keep up the good work...
You mean he is underrated?
This Video was, Long , Perfect , awesome... and made by you! So its obviously getting a like! Real talk tho u seem tired and might need to take a week? Or 2 weeks brake from the internet and from computers in general my guy! Get some sleep, play other games, do some fun stuff for you!

Day 6 of asking John to make his intro out of totebot heads
bro that will pass the OHS as soon as the railings get installed :P and it looks like you should save them vacuum tubes won't look nice imo

Are you ok?
Do you need help?
Well done man!!
I have an idea
U can install mods on ur world
If u want
majority of mods are broken now
Yeah, you sound tired, man. You deserve a break. Don't burn out. This series is far too taxing to play non-stop.
Loving the vids. You def have the most detailed builds and it does give me cool ideas and make.me want to build.
What's your thoughts on using warehouse blocks? I don't consider it cheating. It's all.visual. I'd love to see what you can build with those blocks.

I love ur vidssss
Like no 999 😁
Also, you worry too much about your viewers thaughts, just enjoy the game how you want to, if you build it, they will come 😉

Love the content bud! What is your world seed?
Was scrap mechanic always this gorgeous lighting wise? Or just in general?
great bridge mister architect ^^
Holy mats, Batman! Do the stone nodes respawn or are you having to travel hundreds of virtual miles to gather all of that?
I like u'r videos j0hn 👍🔥

Finally he posted again.
