I bought this and I found it very disappointing. I hike in the Peak District and because you have to use it through the app for some reason it doesn't use the camera video stabilisation. The log was all over the place and I had the sync problem as well. It may be fine if someone is sitting in front of their computer, vloging, but it is pretty useless for anything else. The only thing it was good for was the noise reduction in the windy environments. Did you testing it just walking around the garden or street. If you didn't then give it a go, you will see show shakey it is compared to the Samsung video stabilisation. I couldn't find a workaround. The mic only works with the app. Great review BTW, thanks for sharing.

I'm pretty sure I did walk around with it and I don't recall having any issues with it. The main issue I had was it not being compatible with anything other than its own app which for me personally made it pretty useless as I would have loved to have done some live streaming with it. I don't have it no more unfortunately else I would have given it another test with me walking using it. Thank you for the kind words on the review too.

Yeah, it is very frustrating that you have to use their own app. It's a shame really because I think the audio quality is very good, but if you can't use it on other apps then it's pretty much useless unfortunately.
Mine turns on by itself out of nowhere and drains it's own battery. I thought the battery was faulty until I verified it was off by staring at it for like 30 seconds then setting it on my desk so the light is facing me. About 30 minutes later it turned on suddenly. It's too late to return to Amazon. Waste of $80
Sorry to hear the issues you're having. I can't say that I encountered issues with the battery, just disappointed that I couldn't use it in any apps apart from their own app. I would still get on the live chat with Amazon and see if there is anything they can do, their customer service is usually really good.
even with the mic setup, is there even a way to change the gain/mic sensitivity? likely not im guessing. these mics are useless unless one uses their app / which is useless for IG/any live streaming or in app recording
Unfortunately, I believe everything has to be controlled in the app which is a massive flaw with the product. I think you can make it work if you have both the transmitter and receiver but in this review we only had the microphone which meant we were limited to it only working in its own app.

I agree. I'm a little unsure how it would work myself. I now use the Fifine M6 if I need to use a wireless microphone to connect to my phone. I also connect it to my PC too and it's been flawless. I haven't tried it on Instagram but I did do a Whatsapp call using it and it worked great. I was using a Samsung Galaxy S21 with it and didn't need to install anything extra for it to work.
Do not under any circumstance purchase this mic. I can't warn you against this enough. You can only use the mic in the Sabinetek app - you can't use it any other app, so if you're trying to film in Cap Cut, IG, or Tik Tok you can't. Then when you try to use the Sabinetek app and save the video or audio you created, you can't hear ANY audio when you export the videos out of the app. Essentially I bought a completely useless and overly expensive hunk of plastic.

I think this has caught a number of people out that bought it for live streaming on stuff like Instagram/Tiktok etc.
